Dive Into our New Southern Red Sea Sites

16th December 2009

Are you an experienced diver looking for new action?  The Southern Red Sea is fast gaining popularity with more advanced divers wanting to get away from the crowds up north. To keep you in the swim with all the best dive sites, we have re-vamped our destination descriptions to give you the inside view.

If you have logged over 50 dives and enjoy navigating strong currents, then you will be rewarded with many pelagic sightings. Due to the Brothers‘ proximity to the open ocean, interactions with awe-inspiring whitetips, hammerhead sharks and silvertips are likely.

Diving deep along Rocky Island’s northern coastline will bring you face-to-face with Napoleon wrasse, or travel to the eastern point to be engulfed by large shoals of surgeonfish.

The vibrant reef health at St John’s attracts numerous species from green turtles to bluespotted stingrays. Or you could take a break from intense drift dives with a gentle swim-through at ‘Dangerous’ Reef.

So visit our Southern Red Sea dive site descriptions and let us know what you think.

Most of the Southern Red Sea dive sites can only be dived from a liveaboard as the distance from shore precludes day trips.
