Temporary Closures At Bali Airport

If you’ve booked or thinking of going to Bali on the 05/06 or 08/09 October 2013 then please be aware that Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali will be closed to commercial flights from 1000hrs to 1600hrs on the above dates when the island hosts the APEC summit.

Transportation Ministry spokesman Bambang S. Ervan said:

Whenever we host large conferences or meetings, we need to adjust the air slots because important people are going to attend and they need clearance, one hour before and after [their flights]. We have communicated this issue with every airline operating in the country so that they can make new arrangements for their flights,” Bambang told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.

If you have already booked a flight you should expect notice from the airline. If not then we would suggest choosing different dates. We have checked our customer bookings and we don’t believe we have any divers whose holiday will be affected. If you are unsure the please contact our sales team on +66 (0)94 582 7973 / (0)83 505 7794 or send us an email.
