Blackbird Caye Resort is located on an island in Turneffe Atoll and features 18 air-conditioned cabanas with views over the Caribbean. A short flight from Belize International airport or a 52 km boat transfer and you will find yourself in this little piece of paradise where the coconut palmed beaches await you.

The resort is set in a private area of tropical jungle with its own idyllic, 3 km long, coconut palm-fringed beach. Here you can escape from the stresses and strains of modern life. After a satisfying day's diving you can relax in a hammock on the porch of your beachside cabana, sip a sundowner in the Cantina lounge and bar right on the water's edge and enjoy the best of Caribbean cuisine. Alternatively you make use of the complimentary internet facility and can keep in touch with friends and family.
There are around 70 dive sites just a few minutes boat ride away for you to explore. Most dives are around Turneffe Reef Atoll but you can also expect a weekly trip to Lighthouse Reef and the famous Blue Hole which includes a BBQ picnic and a visit to the red-footed booby sanctuary. The atoll is surrounded by mangroves and is therefore a great spot for juvenile fish species. You will also see large schools of fish in this area of Belize.
Blackbird assists guests to make the most of their Turneffe Reef scuba diving holiday by providing free nitrox to certified divers.

The newly renovated 18 cabanas all have private bathrooms, porches with seating areas and sea views. There are 5 Standard cabanas with double or queen beds. The 5 Superior cabanas are large, have 2 queen or 1 king size bed and a living room area with mini fridge, coffee making facilities and CD player. 3 Deluxe cabanas have king size beds and a separate living room with mini fridge, coffee making facilities and CD player. The Duplex and Triplex are ideal for families and small groups. The Duplex has 2 private en-suite rooms with double beds and a shared porch while the Triplex is similar but has 3 private rooms.

Blackbird's offers true world class diving at sites considered to be among the best in the Western Caribbean. There are more than 70 dive sites located within easy reach of the resort. Some of the popular dive spots you can dive include The Elbow, Calabash Cut, West Side Story, CoCo Point, Al's Hideout, and Oasis. All dives are boat dives since the water around the resort is very shallow.
The 'PADI Resort' dive operation offers 3 boat dives a day. After breakfast, you will depart at 8 am for the first dive of the day. There is a second dive in the morning at 11 am and a third after lunch at 3 pm.
Except for trips to Blue Hole and The Elbow, the boat returns to shore after each dive since the sites are on average only 12 minutes boat ride from the resort. 1 night dive is included in the 7 night and 4 night packages.

Blackbird caye Resort operates 4 dive boats, ranging in size from 11-15m. Each boat has twin 200 HP engines, tank racks, ladders and shade. Dive trips include a divemaster, tanks, weights & weightbelts, drinks and towels. Snacks are available when divers come back to the resort.
The dive centre has guest scuba equipment storage stations, rinse tanks with a special tank for cameras, camera table, a shower, and emergency oxygen. The resort staff will rinse your equipment daily.
