Go for a paddle in one of the resort's complimentary sea kayaks, trek to one of Kadavu's many waterfalls, or take in a little culture on a meke visit to one of the nearby villages.
Matava has a large communal bure, or Burelevu, which is comfortably furnished with cushions and sofas and also houses the bar. Here you can relax and browse the collection of reference books or paperbacks in the library.

Matava has an extensive organic garden from which fruits and vegetables are picked daily. Any speciality produce that is not grown by the resort is provided by local organic gardeners.
