The nearest re-compression chamber is in Suva on the island of Viti Levu - approximately 100 km north of Kadavu. Dive emergencies will be handled by a Medivac 30 minute helicopter ride. You should have your own diving insurance that covers emergency evacuation.
The dive boat carries emergency oxygen and Matava also has oxygen and first aid. A large supply of additional oxygen is available back at the resort. 1 divemaster is provided for every 8 divers.
For non-diving accidents there is a medical facility in Vunisea at Kadavu Airport. It takes 1 hour to get there by boat.
The resort provides a safety box in reception, and the nearest police station is 15 km away by boat.
