The 2 hyperbaric chambers of Fiji are both situated in Suva, Viti Levu, 300 km or a 90 minute flight away. Therefore to cover yourself for the risk of a diving emergency, it is mandatory for you to have your own dive insurance.
The dive boat carries emergency oxygen and a first aid kit, as does the resort. 1 divemaster is provided for every 6 divers. The boat also carries life jackets, EPIRB, marine VHF radio, and flares.
For non-diving accidents, there is a hospital 6 km from the resort.
