Unlike conventional land-based diving, this is a 12 night dive resort safari around the island of Bali, taking in all of its best dive sites. Guided tour specialists Abyss will take you on a Bali diving experience like no other. One single booking guarantees you dive all the best of Bali and its incredible marine diversity. Including all corners of Bali, you will dive all of the island's premier locations, staying in Sanur, Pemuteran, Amed and Candi Dasa, in carefully selected accommodation. Road transfers will often include visits to sites of natural or cultural interest with your guides on-hand to provide informative commentary. Diving is conducted from Abyss' own catamaran which moves around the island by sea as you are transported overland between each of the 4 different locations. You won't see other daytrippers diving from a better boat than this one. Accommodation is in 3 or 4 star resorts with typical facilities including swimming pool, free internet, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers.

While on dive safari you will get to know your fellow guests, guides and boat crew better than any conventional resort stay. The staff members are always on hand to give you any assistance you may require. Experienced guides know the dive sites well and you can enjoy the additional flexibility that comes with Abyss having their own high-specification dive boat. With only 1 group of guests, you can be sure you will be visiting the best dive sites in the best possible conditions and the dives will be expertly guided.

Destinations:  Gilimanuk, Mejangan, Gili Selang, Bunutan, Tulamben, Gili Biaha, Amuk Bay and Nusa Penida. The number of dives quoted in the packages below is based on 3 dives per full diving day including 2 to 3 night dives. There is no diving on day of arrival or day of departure. The safari normally includes up to 22 dives depending on conditions. To dive on this safari you must have a minimum of a Level 2 or PADI advanced with 30 ocean dives.

Note:  Itinerary -
Day 1: Greetings at the airport and transfer to the Aston Inn Tuban, relaxation, dinner & free evening.
Day 2 to Day 5: Transfer by minibus to Pemuteran (approx. 4h30). Accommodation in the magnificent Taman Sari Hotel, diving on Gilimanuk and Menjangan.
Day 6 to Day 8: Diving near Gili Selong, Bunutan & on the famous Tulamben wreck. Accommodation at the Hidden Paradise Hotel. Transfer by minibus from Pemuteran to Amed (approx. 4h).
Day 9 to Day 11: Stay at the Nirwana Resorts & Spa, hotel by the sea with swimming pool and large garden, diving near Gili Biaha, Mimpang, & Nusa Penida. Transfer Amed Sengkidu (approx. 1h30).
Day 12: Night at the Aston Inn Tuban, free afternoon and evening.
Day 13: Transfer to the airport and return international flight.
Please note: All dive gear to be transported for your comfort by your dedicated personal catamaran.

Resort diving includes:  Dives, night dives, boat rides to dive sites, experienced English-speaking divemaster (maximum 4 divers per DM), tanks, weights and weightbelts, drinking water, hot drinks.
Diving excludes:  Scuba equipment (BCD and regulator, each approx US$ 8 per day, payable in advance. Dive booties, dive computer and surface marker are mandatory), nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers (if available, approx. US$ 6 per dive or US$ 130 unlimited), dive insurance, diving tax, soft drinks, snacks. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

Resort accommodation includes:  Bed, breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinking water (only for lunch and dinner), return resort transfers from Denpasar airport, internet access, 2 land excursions.
Accommodation excludes:  Meals on arrival day and departure day, soft drinks, hot drinks, snacks, alcoholic drinks, taxes. If you are a single person it is compulsory to pay in advance for a single supplement. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.

How to get there:  The Bali Abyssworld Safari begins as you fly into Bali's capital city, Denpasaar. Many of the world's larger airlines offer flights to and from Denpasar International Airport. You will need to pay airport tax when leaving Bali of appox US$ 13 (payable in Rupiah only) and a mandatory VISA on arrival of approx US$ 25. Rooms, Beds, Bathrooms, Views...
You'll begin and end your Bali diving safari at Aston Inn Tuban in Kuta (total 2 nights). It offers 76 rooms and suites; each marble floored guest room features High Definition LCD TVs with cable television channels, individually controlled air-conditioning, mini bar, coffee/tea making facilities, in-room safe and IDD telephone. Bathrooms combine bath tubs and showers.

A cottage interior at Taman Sari, Pemuteran Taman Sari in Pemuteran (4 nights) has comfortable air-conditioned cottages set in tranquil gardens on the beachfront, with the magnificent volcanoes of Java creating a perfect backdrop for spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

At Hidden Paradise Resort in Amed (3 nights), each cottage is appointed with teak furniture and locally hand woven fabrics. The cottages also have their own private balcony set amongst a lush tropical garden.

At Nirwana Cottages in Candi Dasa (3 nights) the rooms are spacious and have a mosaic designed bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. They are fully air-conditioned with open terraces, own refrigerator and mini bar, satellite TV channels, DVD player, IDD-telephone line, and Wi-Fi connection.

Diving Details...
These Bali diving trips are limited to a maximum of 16 divers. Dive sites include Secret Bay, Pemuteran, Menjangan, Tulamben, Liberty Wreck, Amed, Candi Dasa/Amuk Bay, Gili Selang, Padang Bay and Lembongan Island/Nusa Penida.

Diving is conducted from a 13m catamaran powered by 4 x 200 HP engines capable of a speed of up to 25 knots! Boasting a nitrox compressor, dive tender and 2 life rafts, this is a very high spec dive boat, particularly by Bali standards.

  • 4 x 200 HP high speed catamaran
  • Shaded cabin area and sundeck
  • Toilets and showers
  • 20m dive deck with rinse tank individual storage spaces
  • Entry and exit ladders
All divers must have at least 30 logged dives and be 'Advanced' qualified. You can expect up to 33 dives during your safari, including 2 or 3 night dives. Dive guides are provided for every 4 divers, together with drinking water, tea and coffee.

Dive gear is stored on the diving catamaran for the duration of the safari, saving you the hassle packing each day. The catamaran also has rinse tanks for rinsing your scuba equipment. Boat journey times are kept to a minimum by staying at several chosen resorts close to the dive sites.

An air-con minibus seating 16 people transports guests with a separate car for their luggage. Transfers between each resort include scheduled stops for refreshments and sight-seeing en route.

Facilities, Location, Recreation...
The swimming pool at Taman Sari Aston Inn is where you'll begin and end your Bali diving safari tour. It has a cafe and pool bar, Lomi Lomi Spa, outdoor 'Ying and Yang' swimming pool and jacuzzi, as well as award winning service standards.

Taman Sari in the unspoiled northwest blends wonderfully with nature. Luxurious villas and cottages are built using natural indiginous materials in a relaxed setting of tranquil gardens and ponds. The surrounding mountain landscape of expansive coconut groves and beautiful ancient temples is still largely undeveloped.

Hidden Paradise Resort near Amed has a tranquil scenic restaurant and bar situated right on the water's edge. You can enjoy fine Balinese cuisine as well as a variety of other foods whilst absorbing the beautiful views across the sea.

Nirwana Cottages is located on the east coast of Bali at Candi Dasa. Its prime oceanfront position gives a stunning view of the Indian Ocean.

Menu, Cuisine Type, Specialities...
You can expect a varied array of cuisine during your Bali dive safari, including international fare such as pizzas, steak and salads, plus Indonesian delicacies such as gado gado, curries and plenty of fresh seafood.

The restaurant at Nirwana Cottages Breakfast and dinner are normally at the hotel/resort in which you are staying. Lunch is taken at carefully selected restaurants closer to where you have been diving. Guests with dietary requirements are advised to give advance notice.

At Wawa Wewe Resort, the restaurant overlooks the sea and pool, serving fresh local ingredients, prepared and cooked to your order. Breakfast and barbeques on the beach, freshly caught fish, vegetarian-, children-menus ... try a Balinese buffet, snacks, salads, tropical drinks and ice cold beers.

Dive Safety, Resort Security...
Abyss minibus shuttle service The nearest re-compression chamber is in Denpasar, in the south of Bali. We advise divers to have their own dive insurance policy - see our insurance programme for a insurance programme.

This Bali safari has access to emergency oxygen on its catamaran dive boat. This is a Wenoll closed circuit oxygen delivery system that gives us almost unlimited supply. The catamaran also has a first aid kit, life jackets, radio contact, GPS, a fishfinder, depth sounder and EPIRB. 1 PADI Divemaster is provided for every 4 divers.

Each of the resorts has facilities for you to safely store any personal valuables that you may have.
