While most of the resorts in this part of Lembongan are on the hillside overlooking the bay, Pondok Baruna is located midway along the beach. You will therefore be staying alongside the local people who harvest seaweed as their children fly kites and run along the sand. World Diving is a long-established Bali dive centre with a good reputation and has recently added the garden rooms complex. The swimming pool is used for both training and relaxing, breakfast is taken in the poolside café and Pondok Baruna also operate a restaurant a few minutes stroll away on the road that runs parallel to the beach.
There is nothing fancy about Pondok Baruna, but there are a number of points of interest. The seaview rooms, while simple, are the only beachfront rooms in the area. The garden rooms are well designed and in a pleasant setting. Being a guest at Pondok Baruna means staying with the same people you dive in Bali with and, if you are on a tight budget, it makes a great option for your stay on Lembongan.
