Without being fancy, Padang Bai Resort is a comfortable and relaxing spot, ideally located to access the local sites of Blue Lagoon and the nearby Gilis: Tepekong and Mimpang. Guests tend to hang out by the poolside soaking up the sun and enjoying drinks from the poolside ‘Buddha Bar’. There are a few other dining options along the beach road although many guests tend to dine from the resort's restaurant.
Operated by an English couple with a technical diving background, you can expect good safety standards, free nitrox and a great enthusiasm for the local Bali scuba diving. You will either use local junkungs or their fibreglass speedboat when doing your 2 dives a day, depending on the number of other divers. A few days here can sit well with short stays in either Tulamben or Lembongan or, with airport transfers included, a few days at Padang Bai Beach Resort could be your main focus for diving in Bali.
