The nearest re-compression chamber is at Malalayang Hospital in Manado 70 km south west, or 2 hours by boat, from Bangka Dive Resort. We advise all divers to have their own dive insurance policy - see our insurance programme for a competitive quotation.
The Bangka Dive Resort dive boat has emergency breathing oxygen and a first aid kit onboard, and evacuation procedures.
There is a police station on the mainland at Likupang Village, 10 km away. There is a doctor on call for the local islands and, in case of emergencies, Bitung Hospital is 40 km south in the Lembeh Strait.
