The nearest re-compression chamber is at Malalayang Hospital in Manado, 45 km, or 1½ hours west, from the resort. We advise you to take out your own diving insurance - see our insurance programme for a competitive quotation.
Bastianos Lembeh Diving Resort's dive boats have first aid kits and emergency oxygen on longer trips. There is 4,200 litres of oxygen available back at the resort.
The nearest medical facility for minor injuries is Bitung Hospital, about 5 km away, or in Manado City for more serious accidents.
Bastianos Lembeh has a safety deposit box, free of charge, in reception. There is a 24 hour security guard service. There is a tourist police facility 15 minutes boat ride away.
