Currently the nearest re-compression chamber is located at Semporna on the Sabah mainland, a 50 minute boat ride away. We strongly recommend that you have your own insurance to cover you for diving emergencies.
The dive boats have DAN oxygen and first aid kits, plus the resort has a 20 litre oxygen tank and first aid on site. 1 Divemaster is provided per speed boat. For non-diving emergencies, there is a hospital 50 minutes away also at Semporna.
The Mataking Reef Dive Resort provides a complimentary safety box for all guests. Mataking island has its own local police station and security guards are present in the resort 24 hours per day.
