This pristine marine park has had the fortune of being protected for over 20 years. Today a limited number of divers have the privilege of experiencing the wonders of Jardines de la Reina, one of the largest marine reserves in the Caribbean.
Your transfer to the park will begin with an overnight stay in Havana. A 4am departure to your liveaboard will include a 5-6 hour bus ride and a 3 hour boat voyage. Your journey will be rewarded with diving “the most incredibly well protected and flourishing reef I’ve ever seen” (as the area was described by Dr. David E. Guggenheim, an American marine biologist and senior fellow at the Ocean Foundation in Washington.) Your Cuban dive logs will no doubt include 6 different species of shark, saltwater crocs, healthy coral life and an abundance of fish, rays and turtles.

Tubbataha Reef was recently nominated as one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of the Natural World’ and includes pristine drop-offs. Malapascua is known for rare encounters with thresher sharks and spectacular walls. If your wish list includes a dive destination far from the maddening crowds but without an adventurous arduous journey to get there, Saba & St. Kitts is for you.

Saba is a dormant volcano that rises from the seabed. It’s origins make for unusual dive sites, such as lava tunnels, underwater hot springs, spur and groove formations, and sheer walls.
The area around the island was declared a marine park over 15 years ago, long before it became internationally known as a dive destination. Both marine life and corals are diverse and abundant and include some big ticket fish, including whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, dolphins and manta rays.
Currents are mild, visibility is great and relaxed diving is suitable for all divers and is made straight from the liveaboard.
