Kungkungan is a professionally run resort which manages to be intimate and friendly yet also provides a relaxed atmosphere with highly trained resort staff and very knowledgeable dive guides. The accommodation all faces the sea and consists of villas, cottages and a traditional beachfront house. The resort centres around a large over-the-water restaurant where you can sit and relax above the lapping waters of the strait whose incredible array of marine life will fascinate you throughout your Sulawesi scuba diving holiday.
Other facilities include a swimming pool and pool bar, salon and spa, including free 'jetlag' massage on arrival, complimentary internet, laundry and air conditioned bar. The dive day in the Lembeh Strait starts with breakfast from 6 am and the first dive boat leaving at 08:15. Each day consists of up to 3 day dives and 1 night dive, night dives being booked at the resort. The boats return to the resort after each dive, where the staff will unload and wash your equipment.
The 3 dive boats here in Sulawesi feature:
- 9m wood hull with 2 x 90 HP engines
- Shaded area with steel entry & exit ladder
- Dive guide & captain
- Maximum of 8 divers per boat
- Snacks, fruit, tea, coffee & drinking water

Unlimited House Reef dives are included in the packages between 08:00-17:00 hrs. Night dives and mandarinfish dives can also be arranged on arrival for an extra charge.
The dive centre at Kungkungan Bay Resort features an scuba gear storage area, rinse tanks, camera table, hot water shower and medical equipment. Enriched air nitrox is also available at the resort.
