Children are welcome at Koro Sun Resort year round. One child between the ages 2 -12 years of age per one full paying adult, stays, and eats for free. Children under 2 years of age stay and eat
Savusavu - Barracuda Point, Dreadlocks, Dreamhouse, Nasonisoni Passage. Day trips to Somosomo Strait and Namena Island may be possible depending on demand and weather - cannot be prebooked. Day trip surcharge of US$ 70 per person is paid at the resort where applicable. No diving on days of arrival and departure.

How to get there:
The Koro Sun is a one hour drive away from Savusavu Airport, along the Hibiscus Highway in Vanua Levu. You can take one of the short daily flights to Savusavu from either Suva or Nadi Airport on Viti Levu. For more details see our Vanua Levu tourist information section.

If this is your only planned visit to Fiji then we strongly recommend that you consider a 2 night add-on stay at Pacific Harbour on Viti Levu, to allow you to witness the not-to-be-missed shark feed diving. This option is also convenient as it is located close to both the international gateway airports in Fiji - Nadi and Suva.
There are 23 bures, all with ocean views, at Koro Sun - 8 Garden bures for 2 guests, 9 Family bures (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom) for up to 5 guests and 1 2-storey Honeymoon bure with plunge pool, spa tub and wet bar.

Most of the scuba diving is along fringing reefs in areas of Savusavu famed for their hard and soft corals. A few dive sites are in deeper and more exposed water for the opportunity to see pelagic marine life, but currents on these sites make them more suitable for experienced divers.
Journey times are just 15-25 minutes. Dive trips usually depart 08:30 hrs, returning around noon after 2 dives. Trips to more remote sites may be available at an extra cost, depending on demand and weather conditions.
The boat is a 10 metre custom-built Roberta (max. 15 divers), powered by twin engines, with exit ladder, toilet, shower and rinse tank.
Daytrips include a divemaster, soft drinks, cookies and towels. The staff will carry and wash your scuba gear.
With its own 9 hole golf course, swimming pools, tennis courts and rainforest to explore, there's plenty to keep you active during your stay. Off site, there are regular trips to nearby villages which afford a great chance to get a flavour of the local Fijian culture.
The Koro Sun Resort also boasts an on-site spa for those looking for a little TLC. A lively bar in the evenings allows you to trade stories with fellow guests and staff.

Meals are served in the dining area, beside the reception. A small menu is available each day but is constantly changed through the week so there's always something new to try.
The menu is international in flavour but is spiced up with a local mix of Fijian and Indian dishes. BBQs are regularly arranged by the resort and are a firm favourite with guests, allowing you to sample the local seafood.

There are 2 recompression chambers in Fiji and both are situated in the capital Suva. One is privately owned by a local hospital and the other is provided by the Fiji Diving Association. We recommend you have your own dive insurance, as Suva is 200 km away.
The dive boat carries a first aid kit and oxygen is available at the resort. 1 divemaster is provided for every 6 divers.
For general emergencies Savusavu Hospital is 15 km away.
Reception at Koro Sun has a safety box for your valuables and there is a security guard on the premises between 15:00 - 06:00 hrs. The nearest police station is also 15 km.
