Ramon's Village is a little slice of tropical paradise on Ambergris Caye, a locally run resort consisting of 61 multi-room suites and thatched-roof cabanas. Ramon's Village Resort is a PADI Gold Palm IDC Resort facility and therefore has a full staff of PADI dive professionals on hand. Most scuba diving at the resort takes place on the local Ambergris Caye sites but you can also expect daytrips to dive at Turneffe and Lighthouse reefs.
As the resort is close to town and the water taxi terminals, you can be back on the mainland in quick time to join a day tour to one of Belize many tourist attractions - Mayan ruins, manatee tours, cave tubing, zipline, the zoo. So staying at Ramon's means you can dive and tour Belize, all from the convenience of one modern beach side resort.
2 tank dives daily along the Belize Barrier Reef of Ambergris Caye (Diving environment: beginner divers; Highlights: turtles, non-diving activities) at sites such as Amigos Wreck, Mexico Rocks and Cypress Gardens. Full day 3 tank dive trips to the Blue Hole (Diving environment: caverns, advanced divers; Highlights:), or Turneffe Atoll (Diving environment: wall diving, healthy reefs, beginner & advanced divers; Highlights: turtles, schooling fish/big pelagics) are available at an extra charge. No diving on days of arrival or departure.

In order for you to get to this destination, it is necessary for you to purchase a return flight ticket from Belize City to San Pedro. Flights can be arranged by the operator. Ramon's Village Resort offers Tahitian-style, thatched-roof cabanas built from local materials. There are a range of rooms to choose from including Beachfront, Seaside and Gardenview cabanas with King or twin beds, as well as luxurious Suites.
Here's how the rooms differ - the Gardenview cabanas are the standard room. The Gardenview Family cabanas are larger and have an additional TV. The Seaside cabanas are the same as the Gardenview cabanas except they have a partial seaview and are nearer the beach. The Beachfront cabanas (Dive The World best choice) are the ground floor of a 2-storey cabana; these have 1 king-size bed only, are bright and airy, and have a beach-facing porch. The upper storey of these cabanas are the suites.
The Beachfront and Seaside Mini Suites have tiled floors, extra sofa, kitchenette, wardrobe, and larger bathroom. The Beachfront and Seaside Guest Suites are the same except they do not have a kitchenette. The Presidential Suite is a beachfront double unit size with king-size bed, pull-out couch and dining area. The International Suite is the same as the Presidential Suite except is it seaside not beachfront. The Honeymoon Suites are stand-alone elevated beachfront huts with a hammock, king-size bed, microwave, small sofa and larger porch.
All the cabanas boast beautiful Belizean hard-wood floors and high quality, locally handcrafted furniture. Nestled among tropical colourful flora and just steps from beach, the accommodation provides a sanctuary of relaxation in Caribbean paradise.

Ramon's Village Resort is a PADI Gold Palm 5 Star IDC Resort facility. Local dive trips depart at 9 am, 11 am, and 2 pm each day, returning to the resort after each dive. Additional night diving can be arranged.
The northern hemisphere's largest barrier reef is just off the beach from Ramon's Village and most sites can be reached within 20 minutes, whilst the Blue Hole along with Turneffe, Lighthouse Reef and Belize's other choice dive spots, are easily accessible with one of the resort's larger boats.
The Pro 42 foot (13m) boat has a partially enclosed marine head cabin, shower, rinse tank, flybridge; it takes a maximum of 16 passengers. It is powered by twin 350 HP cat and jet drives. The 2 x 430 HP Newton 46 foot (14m) has similar facilities but takes up to 26 passengers. Ramon's also has an 8.5m and 3 x 10m fiberglass skiffs (max. 8 divers each) with cloth canopies and twin outboards ranging from 100-150 HP. These smaller boats are used for the local sites.
Dive trips include a skipper, divemaster, tanks, weights & weightbelts, and drinking water. On full day trips to Turneffe and Lighthouse reefs, continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and juice will also be provided.
Ramon's Village Resort's fully qualified PADI instructors, divemasters, and dive shop stocked with a nitrox facility, underwater camera hire and top notch scuba gear for sale or rent, ensure your Belize diving holiday is world class. The dive centre has lockable guest equipment storage stations, rinse tanks, a fresh water shower and first aid kit.
Facilities at Ramon's include a 25 metre lagoon style pool with nearby bar. The resort also features complimentary internet throughout, a shop selling souvenirs and toiletries, and live music shows on Tuesday and Friday evenings.

The restaurant at Ramon's is one of the best places to eat on the whole island and offers a range of dishes including Oriental, Cajun and local delicacies. Each week there is a beach barbecue to enjoy as well as the Sunday buffet.

'Steak on a Stone' - a choice of steak filet, shrimp and chicken or a combo of any of the 3, with a fresh garden salad and baked potato. The meats and fresh vegetables are cooked by you at your table on a heated lava stone.
The 'Pineapple Boat' is a hollowed out pineapple filled with a shrimp fried rice. The pineapple is cut into chunks and marinated in a sauce with onions that gives it a sweet and spicy effect.

The Breakfast Plan includes coffee and juice and a choice of any entree on the breakfast menu. These include Fresh Fruit Platters, Pancakes, Waffles, Eggs Your Way, and Omelettes. It also includes any of the daily breakfast specials.
There are other dining choices near the resort too in San Pedro Town.
The nearest decompression chamber for scuba divers is located very close by in San Pedro Town, just a few minutes from the resort. We recommend you take out your own scuba diving insurance.
Each dive boat is equipped with a medic first aid kit, emergency breathing oxygen (640 litres on local trips, 3,115 litres on trips further offshore), life vests, cell phones (skiffs only), compass, VHF marine radios and GPS (larger boats only). A divemaster is provided for every 8 divers. More oxygen is available at the resort.
For non-diving related accidents the resort has its own in-house medic facility, with a doctor and dentist on call. The nearest hospital and police station are at San Pedro too, just 5 minutes from Ramon's Village.
The resort reception has a safety box for guests' valuables and there is a 24 hour premises security patrol. The resort has an emergency evacuation plan in place, with an air-strip for airplane access just 5 minutes away..
