Opened in July 2012 with great attention to detail. Owner Nigel Douglas ( who is a local from Taveuni) and his wife Carol know this area better than most.
With very limited accommodation comprising 4 ocean front cottages and 1 luxury African tent there can only be a maximum of 14 guests at the resort. So you can be sure you are staying away from the crowds and getting plenty of personal attention. With homemade snacks, a twice daily maid service, use of kayaks and sailing dinghies, and a weekly village tour, you will know you are not staying at an impersonal resort but rather feel more like guests of your hospitable hosts.
More than just a dive resort, there are a lot of other activities including spa treatments, hikes and trails to explore, art and cooking classes and yoga relaxation sessions. This all makes it a great place for people who are not hardcore divers. It is also unsurprising, given the setting and the pampering, that Sau Bay is an ideal spot for honeymooners.

There are 3 Oceanfront Studio Cottages sleeping up to 3 people each, and 1 Oceanfront Deluxe Suite with 2 bedrooms sleeping a group of up to 4. Both have private en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. They also both have private deckswith deck furniture in which to enjoy the sunsets.
There is also a tent like no other - a luxurious African tent for 2 people situated on higher ground, with seaviews and surrounded by the rainforest. It features all mod cons and an outdoor shower and private deck.
All the rooms have:

Being across the Somosomo Strait and just minutes from the world-famous Rainbow Reef means you can get to some of Fiji's best dive sites within a 10 minute boat ride away. Even at full resort capacity there is a maximum of only 12 divers on 2 boats so you can be sure of small groups and plenty of attention from the guides.
The main dive boat is a 10m custom built aluminium monohull dive boat with a 225 HP engine and a maximum speed of 20 knots. It leaves at 08:45 am for 2 dives and return to the resort for lunch. 5 days diving or more include 2 extra free boat dives and free shore diving. Night dives can also be arranged.
Dive trips include divemaster, drinking water, towels, tanks, weights and weightbelts.

The dive centre has equipment storage. Fresh water showers and rinse tanks (including seperate camera tank) are available at the centre. The staff provide a kit transfer and rinsing service.
