For certified divers, the Bahamas presents a quintessential Caribbean diving experience, known for its consistent visibility, vibrant coral reefs, and thrilling encounters with pelagic life. Navigating these rich yet spread-out waters is best done from a dedicated vessel. The Aqua Cat liveaboard, a 102-foot aluminum catamaran, has been designed specifically for this purpose. It offers a stable, spacious platform from which to explore the celebrated sites of the Exuma Cays, Eleuthera, and Nassau on immersive 7-night dive tours. Voted the #1 Best Overall Liveaboard in the Caribbean/Atlantic for 5 consecutive years, this vessel represents a proven, trusted choice for divers seeking a comprehensive Bahamas adventure without compromising on comfort or space.

The Aqua Cat’s most immediate advantage is its remarkable space. With a 35-foot beam, this catamaran provides a sense of openness and stability uncommon in liveaboards. Accommodations include 11 spacious, air-conditioned ensuite cabins, configured as doubles, triples, or quads to suit different travel groups. Common areas are equally generous, featuring a large, air-conditioned main saloon with picture windows, perfect for relaxing with a book or socializing. On deck, ample space for sun loungers invites you to soak in the Bahamian scenery. The experience is crafted for ease: all diving is conducted directly from the vessel’s large, organized dive deck, which features individual stations and dedicated camera areas. After a dive, the convenience of an onboard freshwater shower is a welcome luxury.

The Aqua Cat's liveaboard diving itinerary is structured to maximize your time underwater while embracing the rhythm of the sea. From its base, you can access a diverse portfolio of Bahamian sites, from the dramatic walls and coral caverns of the Exuma Land & Sea Park to the exhilarating shark dives of Nassau. The schedule allows for up to 5 dives per day, including night dives, all made convenient by the stride-off dive platform. Nitrox is available for qualified divers, enhancing bottom time. The crew, drawing on their 45 years of operational experience, provides knowledgeable guidance and prioritizes safety, allowing you to dive with confidence. This blend of variety, frequency, and professional support defines the liveaboard diving ideal.

Recognizing that a great dive trip encompasses more than submersion, the Aqua Cat excels in its 'eco-adventure" activities. Each cruise includes guided excursions via the dedicated 28-foot Sea Dog speedboat. These trips transform surface intervals into meaningful exploration. You might visit the historic lighthouse at Allan’s Cay, comb the shores of a secluded sandbar, or observe the famous swimming pigs and endemic iguanas. Guided walks unveil the islands' rich history and ecology, and kayaks are available as well. This commitment to showcasing the destination’s topside beauty provides a perfect balance, making each liveaboard trip equally rewarding for energetic divers and any non-diving companions.

The Aqua Cat's onboard service fosters a warm, communal atmosphere. Meals are a highlight, with buffet-style breakfasts and lunches offering variety and flexibility. Evenings transition to table-service dinners, where you can choose from several entrée options, accompanied by wine, encouraging stories and camaraderie. The inclusive spirit extends to the alfresco bar, where cocktails, local craft beer on tap, rum drinks, and wine are part of the package. Although disconnected from Wi-Fi (promoting a true digital detox), intermittent cell service in the Exumas allows for occasional check-ins. This approach to hospitality ensures the focus remains on the shared experience and the stunning environment.

Choosing the Aqua Cat means embarking with a liveaboard operator whose long-standing reputation is built on expertise and choice. They offer distinct Bahamas options to match different styles and budgets, from budget-friendly adventures to private catamaran charters. The Aqua Cat itself stands as their premier Bahamas vessel, striking an ideal balance between robust diving, genuine comfort, and authentic exploration of the Bahamas’ underwater treasures and island charm in one seamless, professionally designed cruise.
