Destinations:
Beqa Lagoon and Yanuca islands (soft coral reefs) are scheduled on every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Shark Reef (shark feed) is scheduled on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. No diving on days of arrival and departure.
Note:
Due to the fixed weekly schedule above, your exact diving itinerary will depend upon your day of arrival. For simplicity, our package prices here are based upon the prices as if you were diving at Beqa every day, since the shark feed trips are more expensive.
To arrive at the exact price of your package, we will add a surcharge, dependent upon the number of times you will visit Shark Reef.
Resort diving includes:
Dives (as detailed in the packages above), boat rides to sites, experienced English-speaking divemaster (maximum 4 divers per DM), drinking water, juice, cookies, tanks, weights, weightbelts, and transportation.
Diving excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own):
Full set scuba equipment (approx.
USD 20 per day), Shark reef marine reserve fee (approx.
USD 8 per person per day). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (cash or credit card).
Optional extras:
Extra day and night dives, dive computer, nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival.
Resort accommodation includes:
Bed, breakfast, use of non-motorised water sports, snorkeling equipment & gymnasium, return resort transfers to/from Taunovo Bay airport.

How to get there:
The Pearl is located at Pacific Harbour 55 km west of Suva and 120 km away from Nadi, you can get a taxi or bus from either city. The resort can arrange a taxi from Nadi Airport, the journey takes 2 hours and costs FJ$ 247 one way for up to 4 persons. Alternatively you can take a domestic flight to Taunovo Bay Airport with Pacific Sun (www.pacificsun.com.fj), the resort offers complimentary transfers from Taunovo Bay Airport. The resort diving here is with Aqua Trek, a PADI centre located nearby. Aqua-Trek pioneered shark diving in Fiji back in the 1980s and has helped develop a marine park as part of its conservation efforts. They run 'The Ultimate Shark Encounter' as part of Pacific Harbour's famous shark feed. You can dive with huge bull sharks, tiger Sharks, lemon sharks, silvertips, nurse sharks, grey reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks and blacktip reef sharks on this amazing dive. As well as this there are daily scuba trips to Beqa Lagoon to witness the beautiful coral gardens with reef fish galore.
You will be picked up at The Pearl ready for the first dive of the day around 8:30 am. After a surface interval, the second dive occurs around 10:30 so you can arrive back at your hotel in time for lunch and either an action-packed or leisurely afternoon.
Diving is conducted from one of their 2 fast-speed boats with ladders, rinse tanks, VHF radio, GPS, oxygen and first aid. There are more than 20 excellent dive sites just a short boat ride from Viti Levu.
All boat trips include divemasters, tanks, weights, juice and cookies. The staff will set-up, wash and carry your kit. The dive centre has lockable equipment storage, rinse tanks, hot water shower and toilet.
The Pearl South Pacific Resort offers first-class facilities and top-quality accommodation with a friendly, personal atmosphere.
Action activities include enjoying a round of golf, motorised water sports such as jet skis and banana boats, a game of volleyball or a session in the gym. The nearest re-compression chamber to the Pearl is in Suva, 55 km or 1 hour to the east by road transport. Diving insurance is not included in your package so we recommend you have and bring details of your own.
The dive boat carries VHF radio, GPS, oxygen and first aid. 1 divemaster is provided for every 4 divers. The SCUBA centre has more emergency oxygen if required.
For general accidents there is a local hospital 15 minutes drive away, and an international hospital 50 km away.
Each room at The Pearl South Pacific Resort has a safety box for storing valuables and there is 24 hour security and CCTV at the property. The nearest police station is located across the road.
