MV DiveRACE Class X - a 35-metre steel monohull motor yacht launched in December 2025 - combines stability, safety, and premium comfort for unforgettable liveaboard diving adventures in the Thai Andaman Sea. Despite its unconventional name, DiveRACE Class X delivers a high-end liveaboard experience, accommodating up to 20 divers in stylishly appointed cabins. The owners collaborated with an award-winning interior design firm to create an elegant and inviting atmosphere, with all cabins featuring private ensuite bathrooms, including 2 dedicated single-occupancy cabins for solo travellers.
Guests can unwind on the spacious sun deck with loungers and shaded seating, relax in the air-conditioned saloon, or socialise in the open-air upper deck area. Similan, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai & Richelieu Rock (5 Days / 4 Nights - 14 Dives)

Day 1
You’ll be collected in the afternoon from Phuket Airport or your hotel in Phuket or the Khao Lak area, then transferred to Thap Lamu pier. There, the MV DiveRACE Class X crew will greet you aboard. While enjoying a welcome drink, your tour leader will introduce the liveaboard and review the dive itinerary. After settling into your cabin and unpacking your gear, you’ll have time to relax and meet your fellow guests. Dinner is served shortly after. The boat will then set off on a 4 to 5-hour overnight journey to the Similan Islands.
Days 2–4
Up to four dives per day, including one evening with a night dive, await in the clear waters of the Similan Islands. The region is home to more than 200 hard coral species and boasts the highest reef fish diversity in Thailand. You’ll explore underwater landscapes filled with sea fans, barrel sponges, caves, swim-throughs, and shallow coral gardens ideal for snorkelling between dives.
Koh Bon, located just 800m northwest of the Similans, offers excellent chances of seeing manta rays, along with reef sharks and nurse sharks hiding beneath coral overhangs.
Richelieu Rock, one of Thailand’s most renowned dive sites, is teeming with marine life, including barracudas, snappers, sweetlips, and trevallies. Look out for frogfish, harlequin shrimp, and seahorses among vibrant corals—and keep watch for passing whale sharks and mantas.
Koh Tachai’s pinnacle is known for its strong currents and abundant pelagic visitors, with fire and staghorn corals carpeting the reef.
Day 5
Two final dives near Khao Lak wrap up your trip, offering a chance to explore one of three wrecks: the Bunsoong Wreck, MV Sea Chart, or Premchai Wreck. Breakfast and lunch are served on board before returning to Thap Lamu pier just after lunch. Transfers will be arranged to your hotel or Phuket Airport.

Day 1
An afternoon transfer from Phuket Airport, or your hotel in Phuket or the Khao Lak area, to Thap Lamu pier, near Khao Lak, where the MV DiveRACE Class X crew will welcome you on board. The tour leader will explain the liveaboard features and the diving safari plan in detail while you sip a welcome drink before being assigned to your cabin. Unpack your scuba gear, chat with the other guests on board: dinner will be served next. Sailing overnight to the Similan Islands will take 4 to 5 hours.
Days 2-5
4 dives per day, and a day with 3 day dives and a night dive, in the Similan Islands are among the wonders that await beneath these clear blue waters. More than 200 species of hard coral grow in the area, while these islands have the greatest amount of reef fish in Thai waters. A varied bottom topography, with pinnacles covered in huge sea fans and barrel sponges, caves, swim-throughs, and coral gardens in shallow water that are also ideal for snorkelling in between dives.
Koh Bon is a island located 800m north-west of the Similans. It offers a good chance of encounters with manta rays that enjoy the treatment offered by the cleaner fish. Blacktip, whitetip and grey reef sharks are often spotted swimming around, while nurse sharks prefer to rest under the rocks and coral formations.
Richelieu Rock is one of Thailand's top dive sites, characterized by several pinnacles that attract schools of barracuda, snapper, sweetlips and trevallies. A multitude of colourful soft and hard corals, gigantic sea fans, and sea anemones that are home to clownfish, frogfish, harlequin shrimp, nudibranchs, pipefish and seahorses. Always keep your eye out for whale sharks and manta rays that are often sighted here.
Koh Tachai pinnacle is well known for strong currents that attract pelagics. Hard corals such as fire and staghorn corals cover most of the reef.
Day 6
Your diving is not over yet, as there will be 2 more day dives near Khao Lak, on the way back to port. It's all about wreck diving, with 3 choices for you: the Boonsung Wreck, the MV Sea Chart Wreck and the Premchai Wreck. Breakfast and lunch will still be served on this day. Return to Thap Lamu pier is estimated to be just after lunch, then transfer to your hotel or to Phuket Airport.
Similan, Richelieu Rock & Hin Daeng (7 Days / 6 Nights - 22 Dives)

Day 1
Afternoon transfer from your Phuket hotel to Panwa Pier, where the MV DiveRACE Class X crew welcomes you aboard. After a welcome drink and trip briefing, guests settle into cabins and prepare gear. Dinner is served before sailing overnight to Koh Ha.
Days 2-6
Up to 4 dives daily in the Similan Islands and beyond. Explore coral gardens, pinnacles, caves, and swim-throughs teeming with marine life. Dive highlights include manta rays at Koh Bon, strong currents and pelagics at Koh Tachai, vibrant marine biodiversity at Richelieu Rock, and soft coral-covered boulders at Hin Daeng and Hin Muang. Koh Ha offers fascinating cavern systems.
Day 7
Two final dives at Boonsung Wreck near Khao Lak. Breakfast and lunch are served before returning to Thap Lamu Pier for transfer to your hotel.

Every trip starts in the evening with dinner, after all guests have arrived. There will be chef-prepared meals each day, crafted from fresh local ingredients and aromatic spices. Enjoy buffet-style dining that blends Asian and Western cuisine, served in the main deck dining room. Throughout your cruise, help yourself to tea, hot chocolate, juices, and milk, along with fresh snacks throughout the day. Or have a freshly ground coffee on the house before you get ready for the next dive.
Each day begins with an early wake-up call and a light breakfast, followed by a well-paced schedule with up to 4 dives, interspersed with full meals and afternoon tea. The day winds down with dinner after a dusk dive, offering the perfect close to a day of exploration. Some example dishes: Sukiyaki Steamboat, Phad Thai, BBQ Chicken and Seafood. Beer, wine and soft drinks are also available onboard. A barbecue night is also normally scheduled during the trip.
The liveaboard is also happy to accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice, ensuring every guest enjoys delicious food, fine drinks, and great company after a thrilling day underwater.
