Cassiopeia is a luxury steel-hulled vessel offering outstanding service, sumptuous cuisine and most importantly, awesome Mexico liveaboard diving. Stylish, spacious accommodation and quality of service (there are 11 crew) are priority, contributing to a great dive trip experience.
This beautiful Socorro and Sea of Cortez liveaboard is 131 ft (40m) long and sleeps 26 divers in elegant, en-suite cabins. The boat itself has been designed and built specifically for comfort and stability during long crossings even in rough conditions. There is plenty of lounging space on the huge 1,000 square feet sundeck with comfortable sun loungers, cushions, chairs and tables. There is also an air-conditioned saloon and lounge area with entertainment system. Complimentary beer and wine are available.
The large dive deck provides ample space for both divers and their equipment, and the extensive platform ensures ease and comfort as you enter the water or dive tender. From November to April, Cassiopeia operates 8 night Socorro diving cruises from Cabo San Lucas. During August, September and October you can join an Amazing 6-day Sea of Cortez trip out of La Paz and enjoy the wonders of the World's Aquarium.
Notes: In the event of cancellation by the operator for any reason, there will be no reimbursement so the operator states that it is mandatory for all guests to have travel insurance coverage for this event.
Dive experience: Socorro Islands - Advanced Open Water Divers and min. 60 logged dives required. Sea of Cortez - open water license only.
Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, soft drinks, hot drinks, local beer and wine (in moderate quantities), transfers to/from the boat from recommended host hotel, dives (as detailed in the trips above), experienced English-speaking divemasters (1 guide for 9 divers for Socorro trips), lost diver radio locators (deposit required), standard tanks, weights and weightbelts, Mexican taxes.
Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): National park and port fees (Socorro: (USD 610 per trip, Sea of Cortez : (USD 78 per trip), scuba equipment rental (USD 350 per 8N trip), SMB, dive and travel insurance. Note: park fees are waived for retirees and pensioners over the age of 60 years old. A 75% discount on park fees is available for active students and teachers. With effect from 1 April 2022, a fuel surcharge of USD 200 per person will apply to all Socorro cruises. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival (credit cards are accepted for nitrox and rental gear only, all other payments must be in cash).
Optional extras: Alcoholic drinks (spirits), nitrox fills for enriched air divers (USD 200 per week), torch, transfers from the designated international airport to host hotels. Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival. Note: prices of items purchased onboard are subject to change.
How to get there: Socorro Islands: these liveaboard diving charters depart in the morning from Cabo San Lucas. Guests fly into Los Cabos International Airport, approximately 45 minutes drive from Cabo San Lucas. You should plan to arrive the day before departure. Free of charge transfers to the boat are available from the host hotel: Tesoro Los Cabos Hotel at 7:45 am on the day of departure. The boat departs at 8 am. It returns to port at 8 pm on the penultimate day. At 8 am the shuttle will transfer all guests to San Jose del Cabo Airport.
The last dive of the trip will be at around 5 pm. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving.
Guadalupe:Island: Cassiopeia departs from Ensenada, Mexico at 12 noon. Most guests arrive the night before departure and stay in the Holiday Inn Express in San Diego Old Town, or Hotel Palacio Azteca in Tijuana. On the day of departure a luxury coach will pick guests up at 8 am (San Diego) and 8:30 am (Tijuana) and transport you to Ensenada. Guests not staying at these hotels must make their way there for pick up. The boat leaves Guadalupe at 1:30 pm on the penultimate day and arrives at port on the final morning and the coach will depart at 8 am to Tijuana and San Diego host hotels, then the San Diego International Airport.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travelers may choose to share a cabin or pay a supplement of 70% of the normal published price.
Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 10 guests, and 1 additional person can join the cruise in a Deluxe Stateroom free of charge (total 11 or more guests). Pay for 16 guests, and 2 additional persons can join the cruise free of charge (total 18 or more guests).
Whole boat charter rate (per night): Pay for 23 guests, and 3 additional persons can join free of charge (total 26 guests).
