Sau Bay resort is an intimate boutique diving accommodation facing across the Somosomo Strait to Taveuni, nestled among 99 acres of virgin rainforest. This quiet bay in Vanua Levu is the perfect hideaway for those who want to dive some of Fiji's best sites, yet still stay in a comfortable and personal resort.
Opened in July 2012 with great attention to detail. Owner Nigel Douglas (who is a local from Taveuni) and his wife Carol know this area better than most.
With very limited accommodation comprising 4 ocean front cottages and 1 luxury African tent there can only be a maximum of 14 guests at the resort. So you can be sure you are staying away from the crowds and getting plenty of personal attention. With homemade snacks, a twice daily maid service, use of kayaks and sailing dinghies, and a weekly village tour, you will know you are not staying at an impersonal resort but rather feel more like guests of your hospitable hosts.
More than just a dive resort, there are a lot of other activities including spa treatments, hikes and trails to explore, art and cooking classes and yoga relaxation sessions. This all makes it a great place for people who are not hardcore scuba divers. It is also unsurprising, given the setting and the pampering, that Sau Bay is an ideal spot for honeymooners.
Note: 3 or 4 can share in the Deluxe cottages for the same price. Please ask us for more details.

The dive boat carries emergency oxygen and a first aid kit, as does the resort. 1 divemaster is provided for every 6 divers. The boat also carries life jackets, EPIRB, marine VHF radio, and flares.
For general accidents to guests, there is a hospital 6 km from the resort.
