The Komodo Floating Hostel offers something unique among Indonesia liveaboard diving trips. This boat does not start and end in port but stays in the central area of the Komodo National Park only moving short distances. That means you can join and leave any day and you can stay for as short or as long as you want. It a great choice for budget divers and those with limited time.
This is a 28 metre long Phinisi schooner that can take up to 16 divers in dormitory-style accommodation with shared bathrooms. It is not a luxury liveaboard option but more a no-frills, Komodo budget diving trip option for those who don't require too much pampering.
The main social areas on the boat are the shaded open-air saloon/dining area or on the sun deck lounging on sun mats or bean bags. You can enjoy the music system while playing board games and cards with other fellow divers. There is no internet or TV to distract you from the natural splendour of Komodo. Diving is all done from the attendent dinghies with short boat rides between the mothership and the dive sites.
