The vast, untamed beauty of the Indonesian archipelago awaits your discovery aboard the 47-metre Neomi liveaboard, a truly magnificent vessel launched in 2020. Representing a contemporary evolution of the traditional Bugis sailing Phinisi schooner, it is constructed from beautiful teak and ironwood, offering a grand, stable platform for exploring the Coral Triangle's most spectacular dive zones: Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Banda Sea. This sheer scale ensures an abundance of space, comfort, and state-of-the-art amenities.

The dedication to high-end comfort is evident throughout the accommodation. The Neomi hosts up to 22 guests in 10 exquisitely appointed cabins. Flexibility is a major advantage, as the beds in most cabins can be configured as either King-size or twin beds, accommodating families, partners, or friends with ease. All guests enjoy air-conditioning, a TV, and a private bathroom with hot and cold running water.

A touch of genuine luxury is found in the main and upper deck cabins, which each feature their own private balcony, providing exclusive outdoor space and uninterrupted ocean views. The premier Master cabin raises the bar further by including a bathtub. Added hotel-style services, such as laundry, ensure total relaxation throughout the cruise aboard the Neomi liveaboard.

Neomi’s public spaces are designed for leisure and socialising. An air-conditioned restaurant serves a delightful fusion of Indonesian, Asian, and Western cuisine, including local favourites like Balinese Chicken Betutu and international delights such as Smoky Beef and Mushroom Carbonara. Entertainment options are rich, with a TV, DVD player, and touch-screen Karaoke available in the restaurant lounge. Guests also benefit from 2 Jacuzzis located on the middle deck, ideal for unwinding after a day of diving.

Safety is paramount, and the Neomi liveaboard operator instils confidence through an experienced crew and advanced technical provisions. The vessel is equipped with a satellite phone, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers. Crucially for divers, a comprehensive safety measure is the issuance of an ENOS diver location system to every guest. Furthermore, the boat operates with full self-sufficiency thanks to an on-board water-maker producing 10,000 litres daily.

Dive operations are carried out from 2 twin-engine aluminium skiffs. Nitrox is available to extend bottom time, and underwater photographers have a dedicated camera station near the dive deck for equipment preparation. The Neomi’s wider appeal is its welcome to non-divers, providing free snorkelling equipment and a dedicated snorkel guide, along with a sea kayak, and island activities like hiking, ensuring the Neomi liveaboard delivers a memorable experience for everyone.

Neomi has 10 cabins to house a maximum of 22 guests. Each cabin has a private bathroom all but one of them can be configured to king-size double bed or twin beds. Dive sites and activities: Alor: Kalabahi Bay, Munaseli, Pantar Strait, Pura, Beangabang, Ternate, Reta. Dugong visit.

Day 1
Your liveaboard adventure begins on Neomi in Kalabahi, the capital of Alor. After settling in and after a light lunch, you’ll explore its pristine coral reefs with 2 to 3 dives planned for the day. The calm waters reveal a colourful underwater world, where parrotfish, butterflyfish, and fusiliers dart through vibrant coral gardens. Depending on conditions, you may also encounter rays, sea turtles, and reef sharks. This is the perfect introduction to the beauty and biodiversity of the surrounding marine ecosystem.

Core Days
Over the next few days, you’ll immerse yourself in the best diving that Alor and the Pantar Strait have to offer. Each day brings its own unique highlights, with up to 4 dives that showcase the region’s extraordinary variety of marine life and habitats.
In Pantar, enjoy crystal-clear visibility while drifting through coral gardens alive with schooling snappers, jacks, and lionfish, with reef sharks and barracuda often cruising the deeper slopes. Pura Island is a paradise for macro lovers - look closely for pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, and ghost pipefish hiding among the reefs, while anthias and butterflyfish drift above in dazzling numbers. Beangabang delivers a dramatic change of scenery, with steep coral walls, soft coral outcrops, and pelagics such as jacks, barracuda, and reef sharks gliding past in the blue.
One of the most memorable experiences comes at the dugong site, where after exploring vibrant reefs around Ternate and Reta, you may be rewarded with the rare opportunity to observe dugongs in their natural habitat. From the tiniest critters to large schools of fish and encounters with bigger predators, these days offer a glimpse in to Alor’s underwater treasures.

In the morning, Neomi returns to Kalabahi. After a final breakfast with your fellow divers, it’s time to prepare for disembarkation from the liveaboard. Take with you lasting memories of Alor’s reefs, critters, pelagic encounters, and the camaraderie of your voyage at sea.

Alor & Flores Adventure (8 Days / 7 Nights - 18 Dives)

Trip highlights: dolphins, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics, non diving activities

Diving environment: advanced divers, beginner divers, drift diving, healthy reefs, off the beaten track

Dive sites and activities: Flores: Sabolan, Riung, Pamana, Komba, Alor: Pantar Strait. Trek in Kelimutu National Park.

Day 1
Embark on a special dive and trek liveaboard adventure cruise with Neomi across the islands of Flores and through the famed Pantar Strait. Depart from Labuan Bajo and set sail for the first destination: the egg-shaped Sabolan Island. The yacht will anchor here to explore its underwater world, famous for pygmy seahorses, mantis shrimps, and a spectacular array of nudibranchs.

Core Days
Neomi sets sail for the hidden paradise of Riung, a sheltered bay cradling pristine reef systems. Here, diving reveals incredibly colourful coral life in a peaceful atmosphere, a place where the wonders of nature unfold at a gentle, mesmerising pace, both above and below the water’s surface. Continuing east, you arrive at Pamana Island on the edge of Flores. The clear waters give way to sloping reefs and walls, sculpted by the surrounding currents. This dynamic environment creates a perfect balance, offering dives that are a vibrant mosaic of healthy coral gardens and the thrilling possibility of encountering passing pelagic activity.
The Neomi liveaboard then takes a dramatic turn as you approach Komba, an active volcano rising sheer from the sea. Diving here is an otherworldly experience, exploring landscapes of dark volcanic sands strikingly contrasted by rich, resilient coral life. Above the surface, the sight, and sometimes the distant rumble, of the volcano provides an unforgettable backdrop, particularly as the evening sky glows overhead.
The voyage then enters the renowned Pantar Strait, where the strong, nutrient-laden currents are a magnet for marine action. This area, separating Alor Island from Pantar, guarantees high-energy dives with massive schools of fish, trevally, and reef sharks, demanding the attention of experienced divers.
One key highlight of this Neomi liveaboard cruise is to exchange fins for hiking boots, anchoring near Ropa to extend the adventure onshore. Guests disembark for a trek through Kelimutu National Park. The ascent to the summit rewards you with the iconic vista of the tri-coloured crater lakes, a mesmerising display transformed by minerals and the shifting light.

Day 8
After a final night cruising, the Neomi arrives in Alor. Following breakfast and farewells to the crew, guests disembark.

Banda Islands & Ambon (7 Days / 6 Nights - 22 Dives)

Trip highlights: turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics

Diving environment: advanced divers, drift diving, healthy reefs, off the beaten track, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Ambon, Pulau Suanggi, Banda Islands: Pulau Hatta, Run, Ai, Banda Neira; Nusa Laut

Day 1
Board the Neomi at Ambon Harbour for a welcome drink, immediate boarding and departure. During a light lunch there will be a crew introduction and you will be briefed about the boat and safety at sea. Dinner is also served as the boat moves on to the first destination - Pulau Suanggi.

Core Days
This expedition plunges into the deep, clear waters surrounding the historic Banda Islands, an archipelago built from volcanic activity and defined by pristine reef systems. Sites around Pulau Hatta, Run, and Ai are distinguished by dramatic wall diving, where strong, nutrient-rich currents attract substantial schools of fusiliers and larger pelagic species. Scuba divers consistently observe cruising dogtooth tuna and mobula rays in the blue, and on occasion, migrating cetaceans from the deck of the Neomi liveaboard.
The historical prominence of these isles is explored with a dedicated land tour to Banda Neira, the ancestral capital of the Spice Trade. Guests step ashore to explore colonial forts and learn about the pivotal role the islands played centuries ago. Subsurface, the reefs are teeming with biomass and noted for specific residents, including the long, slender banded sea krait patrolling the vibrant hard coral slopes of the sites.
The Neomi then shifts focus to the specialised macro playground of Ambon. The famous Ambon Bay provides the unique substrate for black sand muck diving, a rewarding hunt for the planet’s strangest inhabitants. Your dive guides will help locate the endemic Ambon scorpionfish, along with elusive spiny devilfish, rhinopias, and the visually stunning flamboyant cuttlefish. A final few dives of the itinerary are conducted at Nusa Laut, offering a pristine coral crescendo before the voyage concludes.

Day 7
Following an early breakfast, guests disembark the Neomi at Ambon Harbour.

Banda Sea & Alor (8 Days / 7 Nights - 20 Dives)

Trip highlights: hammerhead sharks, turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics

Diving environment: advanced divers, beginner divers, drift diving, healthy reefs, off the beaten track, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Alor: Kalabahi, Pura, Ternate, Reta, Reong, Wetar, Gunung Api, Lucipara, Ambon, Snorkelling with dugongs.

Day 1
Board at Alor Harbour. Complete the crew greetings and safety induction, then set up your scuba configuration. Dinner is served as the Neomi makes an overnight transfer, positioning perfectly for the first dives come morning.

Core Days
The Neomi liveaboard moves between 2 distinct worlds: the current-swept Alor archipelago and the isolated seamounts of the Banda Sea. Alor diving is profoundly varied. Around Kalabahi, Pura, and Reta, you spend time over black sand and coral rubble hunting for the cryptic stuff. Rhinopias sits motionless on a sponge, so well camouflaged you almost fin past it. Flamboyant cuttlefish, small, toxic, and impossibly coloured, walk across the bottom on their front arms. Rare nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, and the occasional mimic octopus keep macro photographers busy for entire dives. Then the current picks up. At Reong and Wetar, the water moves with purpose, dragging nutrient-rich streams across the reef. Schools of jacks and barracuda hold formation. Reef sharks patrol the outer edges. You hook into the lee of a bommie and let the show come to you.
A gentler interlude comes back in Alor waters. The Neomi anchors near a known dugong feeding ground. You slip in with snorkel gear and wait quietly. The dugongs graze on seagrass, surfacing every few minutes for air. They are shy but curious. Keep your distance, move slowly, and they may come closer for a look. It is a quiet, memorable hour that balances the adrenaline of the Banda Sea.
The Neomi then makes the deep crossing toward the Banda Sea. The target is Lucipara, a string of remote seamounts that rise from water too deep to see the bottom. These pinnacles are coral-covered and current-exposed. Dogtooth tuna crash through bait balls near the surface. Grey reef sharks circle the ridges. The visibility can stretch past 40 metres, giving you a view across the blue that feels endless. From the deck, you watch for larger life: pilot whales, migrating pods of dolphins, even the occasional passing orca. This is big ocean diving. It requires respect for the conditions, but the rewards are substantial.
Gunung Api offers a final volcanic twist. This active volcano drops straight into the water, and the diving here is unlike anything else on the itinerary. Banded sea kraits, venomous but placid sea snakes, gather in remarkable numbers. They weave through the shallows, ignoring divers entirely, hunting for eels and small fish. You hover among dozens of them, watching the black and white bands pass within arm's reach. It is surreal. And it is safe, provided you do not touch. The Neomi then points toward Ambon. Ambon Bay is the muck capital of eastern Indonesia. The black volcanic sand slopes into dark water, and the critter list is legendary: the endemic Ambon scorpionfish, stargazers peeking from the sediment, hairy frogfish, and ornate ghost pipefish. You finish the trip low and slow, torch beam scanning, finding something new on every dive.

Day 8
Disembark the Neomi liveaboard in Ambon. You have crossed from Alor to the Banda Sea and back again, diving remote seamounts, active volcanoes, and world-class muck sites. The gear bag needs a rinse. The logbook needs a new page. And the memory of those sea snakes stays with you all the way to the airport.

Banda Sea & Ambon (10 Days / 9 Nights - 29 Dives)

Trip highlights: hammerhead sharks, turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics

Diving environment: advanced divers, drift diving, healthy reefs, off the beaten track, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Ambon, Nusa Laut, Pulau Suanggi, Banda Islands: Pulau Hatta, Run, Ai, Banda Neira; Koon, Pisang, Panjang. Trekking, Banda Neira historic fort and church visit.

Day 1
Board the Neomi in Ambon harbour. Crew greet you with a welcome drink, then show you to your cabin. Light lunch runs while the guide introduces the boat and runs through safety. Afternoon check dive in Ambon Bay, a gentle warm-up to clear your ears and settle your kit. Dinner as the Blue Storm eases away from the dock, heading for Nusa Laut.

Core Days
The Banda Sea rewards patience and curiosity. On the Neomi liveaboard, you wake each day to a different island on the horizon. Nusa Laut comes first, where hard coral gardens sprawl across the reef slope. Triggerfish, angelfish, and butterflyfish crowd the shallows. Reef sharks patrol the drop-offs. It is a classic Indonesian reef scene, healthy and busy.
Then the Neomi shifts to Pulau Suanggi, a more exposed site at the northern edge of the Banda outer reefs. Trevallies and snapper school in the blue. Fusiliers stream past in curtains. The main attraction here is the chance of hammerheads, groups that sometimes cruise the deeper water during the cooler months. Not guaranteed, but when they appear, they move slowly, deliberately, worth the wait.
The Banda Islands themselves - Run, Ai, and Banda Neira - offer a different flavour. Walls drop away from volcanic shorelines, covered in soft corals, sea fans, and barrel sponges. Dogtooth tuna pass by. Napoleon wrasse show up at cleaning stations, unbothered by divers. Turtles rest in overhangs. At night, the Neomi runs torches and you hunt for flamboyant cuttlefish, spiny devilfish, and the endemic Ambon scorpionfish that hides in plain sight on rubble patches.
Between dive days, the Neomi tucks into Banda Neira for a land tour. You walk up to Fort Belgica, a Dutch-era star fortress overlooking the town. The old church, Hollandische Kerk, dates back to 1600. Nutmeg trees still grow in the shade. It is a pause from salt water, a reminder that these islands once drew empires across oceans for spices.
Further south, Hatta and Koon islands deliver cleaner walls and bigger animals. White tip reef sharks measuring close to 2 metres rest on sandy bottoms. Rainbow runners and jacks work the current lines. Pisang Island offers something smaller: crystal shallows, soft corals, and macro life for those who slow down and look. Panjang is the final full day: gentle walls, coral gardens, sandy slopes where frogfish and ghost pipefish hide in plain sight.

Day 10
Wake as the Neomi approaches Fak Fak harbour. Breakfast on deck, then final checks and goodbyes. Crew assist with transfers to the airport or a local hotel. You leave with a logbook full of new sites and the sense that you have touched a remote corner of Indonesia few divers ever see.

Komodo & Sumbawa (Whale Shark Special)

Trip highlights: whale sharks, shark action, dolphins, manta rays, dugongs/manatees, turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics, non diving activities

Diving environment: advanced divers, beginner divers, drift diving, healthy reefs, off the beaten track, very popular, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Sumbawa: Menangis, Moyo, Saleh Bay, Satonda, Sangeang, Central Komodo, Gili Lawa, Padar. Viewpoint trek and Komodo dragon walk, lake and waterfall visit.

Day 1
Board at Labuan Bajo or Sumbawa Besar, settle into your cabin, and complete the safety briefing. After assembling your dive gear, you drop in for a check-dive to shake off any travel rust. Dinner is served as the Neomi gets underway toward Sumbawa.

Core Days
The centrepiece of this expedition is Saleh Bay. Here, local fishing platforms known as bagans attract whale sharks reliably. You slip into calm, murky water and wait. Then a shadow resolves into spots. The largest fish in the sea drifts past, mouth wide, filtering plankton. You stay at a respectful distance, watching as 2 or 3 more appear from the green. It is not a chase. It is an encounter on their terms, and it is unforgettable.
Beyond the whale sharks, the Neomi works through a string of isolated sites. Sangeang, an active volcano, offers dark sand diving unlike anywhere else in the region. Geothermal vents release warm water, and the macro life thrives here: ribbon eels poking from holes, pygmy seahorses tucked into gorgonians, nudibranchs in colours that seem artificial. Moyo provides the opposite: bright, healthy reefs with good coral cover and schools of bumphead parrotfish. A topside break takes you to a jungle waterfall and a freshwater lake where you can rinse off the salt. Menangis and Satonda round out the Sumbawa section with wall dives and sloping reefs patrolled by reef sharks and eagle rays.
The Neomi then crosses into central Komodo. This is current diving. You drift along channels where the water moves with purpose, carrying nutrients that attract the big stuff. Reef sharks cruise the edges. Giant trevally smash into bait balls. Fusiliers stream past in silver ribbons. At Gili Lawa, the famous current-swept points deliver action from start to finish. Padar offers cleaner conditions and a mix of shallow coral gardens and deeper ledges where snapper gather.
Surface intervals here are not idle. You hike to the Padar viewpoint, looking down on three bays in 3 different colours, a photograph every diver wants. You also walk with a ranger across the savanah of Rinca or Komodo itself, spotting the dragons that give these islands their name. They move slowly in the heat. You give them space.

Final Day
Wake to a final breakfast then disembark at Sumbawa Besar or Labuan Bajo, depending on the direction of your cruise. The Neomi has shown you 2 distinct Indonesian worlds: the gentle giants of Saleh Bay and the current-swept reefs of Komodo. You leave with a full logbook and a sense of having done something properly.

Raja Ampat National Park Central

Trip highlights: shark action, manta rays, turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics

Diving environment: advanced divers, caverns, drift diving, healthy reefs, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Raja Ampat: Dampier Strait, Mioskon, Penemu, Yanggefo, Gam, Arborek, Mansuar, Kri. Visit red birds of paradise at Sawingkrai, view point hike.

Day 1
How quickly can you transform from shore-side traveller to ready to dive explorer? The answer begins as you disembark at Sorong Harbour and are welcomed onto the Neomi liveaboard. Crew members furnish every participant with a complete security briefing and orientation, immediately followed by the task of preparing your dive equipment. A crucial check dive takes place during the mid-day hours to ensure everyone is familiar with the local conditions. Shortly after the initial food service, the Neomi will execute a relocation toward the central Raja Ampat.

Core Days
The core experience focuses on the current-swept ecosystems of the Dampier Strait, the foundation of Raja Ampat’s legendary fish biomass. Divers descend upon pinnacles like Cape Kri and the sloping reef of Mansuar, where staggering schools of fusiliers, snappers, and giant trevally aggregate in the flow. These demanding yet immensely rewarding sites are where you consistently find blacktip reef sharks and oceanic manta rays utilising the strong currents for feeding.
The Neomi provides access to the diverse underwater architecture of the central islands. Exploring Mioskon, Penemu, and Gam reveals breathtaking coral coverage: sheer walls and bommies blanketed in orange and pink soft corals. Here, the challenge shifts to spotting the smaller, more specialised residents, such as the minute pygmy seahorses and the endemic epaulette shark, sometimes referred to as the walking shark.
Beyond the reefs, surface intervals are utilised for unique land excursions. Penemu requires a short hike to its crest, offering the celebrated panoramic viewpoint over the karst formations that define this paradise. Additionally, an early morning trek to Sawingkrai village is scheduled for the rare chance to observe the extraordinary red birds of paradise perform their dazzling aerial display. Booking the Neomi ensures a privileged engagement with this spectacular ecosystem.

Raja Ampat National Park South (7 Days / 6 Nights - 17 Dives)

Trip highlights: shark action, manta rays, turtles, great macro life/ marine diversity, schooling fish & big pelagics

Diving environment: advanced divers, caverns, drift diving, healthy reefs, wall diving

Dive sites and activities: Raja Ampat: Misool - Farondi, Boo's Window, Wayilbatan, Shadow Reef. Visit Jellyfish lake.

Day 1
Board at Sorong Harbour. The crew greets you with a warm welcome followed by the essential safety briefing. Take your time setting up scuba gear, there is no rush. Dinner is served after the vessel pulls away from port, and the Neomi begins its overnight transit south toward Misool.

Core Days
This expedition dedicates itself entirely to southern Raja Ampat, specifically the Misool region. Scientists have called this area the epicentre of marine biodiversity. The diving backs up the claim. Limestone karsts rise from the water like enormous mushrooms, their bases disappearing into clear blue. Under the surface, those same walls continue down, layered with soft corals in shades of pink, purple, and orange. You drop in at Farondi and Wayilbatan, where the current brings nutrient-rich water washing over vertical gardens. Giant sea fans spread their branches wide. And tucked into those fans, pygmy seahorses no bigger than your fingernail cling to the gorgonian stems. Find one, watch it, then move on to the next.
The Neomi also visits submerged seamounts that break the surface only as white water. Shadow Reef is a classic example. A current-exposed pinnacle rising from deep water, it attracts schools of fusiliers, jacks, and barracuda that circle the summit while blacktip reef sharks patrol the sandy edges below. You hook in, let the water flow past, and simply watch the pass. On a good day, you might spot a dogtooth tuna or a passing eagle ray. Boo's Window offers something completely different: a large rock formation with 2 swim-throughs just below the surface. You glide through the openings, and as you emerge, the light catches the reef outside in a way that stops you mid-fin. It is a photographer's dream and a diver's delight.
Between dives, the Neomi balances the underwater action with a genuine rarity. You take a tender to a hidden marine lake. Here, thousands of jellyfish, a species that has evolved without stingers, pulse gently through the water. You slip in with a snorkel and float among them. They bounce off your skin like soft balloons. There is no danger. Only quiet wonder. It is a shallow, warm, surreal break from the deeper diving, and it stays with you long after you leave.

Day 7
Wake to a final breakfast on the Neomi in Sorong. Disembarkation follows. You leave with a camera card full of images, a logbook full of notes, and the knowledge that you have dived one of the richest marine ecosystems on the planet.

Day 1
Located in the epicentre of the Coral Triangle, Raja Ampat is considered the most diverse marine region in the world and your adventure here starts at Sorong Harbour. Once all divers receive the mandatory safety presentation, the first order of business involves readying your personal dive equipment. The schedule permits an initial check dive in the afternoon to gauge local factors. A full dinner is served as Neomi begins its nocturnal crossing, bound for the Misool sector.

Core Days
The first half of the trip explores the immense biodiversity of Misool. Diving at Farondi, Wayilbatan, and the submerged pinnacle Shadow Reef reveals a world dominated by breathtaking coral health and structure. Scuba divers can locate the endemic wobbegong shark and observe soft coral crabs and nudibranchs nestled amongst the thick reef growth. A visit to the famous Boo's Window, where natural crevices provide light shafts onto the reef, is a photographic highlight. Adding to the adventure, an excursion is made to the unique Jellyfish lake for a surreal snorkel with non-stinging medusae.
The Neomi then journeys north to the Dampier Strait, known for its dynamic, current-swept diving. Sites like Kri, Sardines, Chicken Reef, Mansuar, and Gam are highly active, attracting massive schools of fish, including bumphead parrotfish and various trevally. These nutrient-rich currents also reliably draw in oceanic manta rays to their established cleaning stations. Near Arborek and Yanggefo, the conditions are equally vibrant.
Topside, the Neomi ensures you experience the region's unique avian life with an early morning visit to Sawingkrai to seek out the spectacular red birds of paradise. A viewpoint hike at Penemu is included for an iconic vista of the limestone karsts.

Board at Ambon Harbour. The crew welcomes you aboard for a brief orientation, then you settle in and rig your gear for the deeper water ahead. Dinner is served as the Neomi begins its overnight crossing toward the Banda Sea, aiming for the remote dive sites around Pulau Suanggi.

Core Days
The Neomi liveaboard opens its account in the Banda Sea, where exceptional visibility and deep water attract the big stuff. Pulau Suanggi and Koon Island offer dramatic walls that drop into blue. Dogtooth tuna tear through bait balls. Mobula rays cruise the current-swept ridges. You drift along the edges, watching the action unfold. The spice islands of Run, Ai, and Pulau Hatta provide a different rhythm: colourful coral plateaus, gentle slopes, and reef sharks resting in sandy gullies. The history here sits just below the surface, literally. Broken porcelain and old anchor points occasionally appear in the sand, remnants of the nutmeg trade that once made this archipelago the most valuable real estate on Earth.
A significant pause comes at Banda Neira. The Neomi ties up, and you go ashore for a guided trek and history tour. Belgica Fortress stands on the hill, its walls still solid after 4 centuries. You walk the old Parigi Chain, visit the colonial church and museum, then climb to the Mini Palace. The guide talks about the Dutch, the British, the run on Run. It is a lot of history for one small island. But it gives context to the water you have been diving. These seas were fought over. Now they belong to the fish.
The Neomi then repositions east into Raja Ampat, specifically the Misool sector. This is biodiversity on a scale few places can match. Warakaraket, Yeliet, Fabiacet, Balbulol, Daram. The names blur together because the diving is consistently excellent. Wayilbatan and Farondi deliver the classic Misool experience: vertical walls draped in soft corals, giant sea fans holding pygmy seahorses, wobbegong sharks lying flat on ledges. At Boo, you swim through the famous window, emerging into a cathedral of light. The macro life is extraordinary. Look for fingered dragonets on the sand, ornate ghost pipefish in the crinoids, and the endemic Raja Ampat epaulette shark walking across the reef at night. The Neomi gives you time to explore these sites properly. No rushing. No skipping the good ones.
The final act shifts back toward Ambon. Specifically, Ambon Bay. This is muck diving of the highest order. Black volcanic sand slopes into dark water, and everything small and strange lives here. The endemic Ambon scorpionfish sits motionless, indistinguishable from the rubble. Flamboyant cuttlefish pulse across the bottom in waves of purple and yellow. Hairy frogfish, stargazers, mimic octopus, the list goes on. You spend your last dives low and slow, torch beam scanning the sand, finding things you missed on the first pass. It is a fitting end. Big water, big history, big biodiversity. Then the small stuff that demands patience and rewards it generously.

Final Day
Breakfast aboard the Neomi liveaboard, then disembarkation at Sorong Harbour. You have crossed an ocean, dived 3 distinct regions, and logged sites most divers only read about. The gear bags are heavy. The memory card is full. And the only question left is when you can do it again.

Day 1
This dive adventure begins in Kaimana, where the Cruise Director meets you on arrival and escorts you to the Neomi liveaboard. Once aboard, there is a safety briefing and boat orientation, followed by introductions to the crew who will look after you for the coming days. After settling into your cabin, Neomi slips away from the dock for a check dive close by, and a chance to test your buoyancy, check your gear, and acclimatise to the local conditions before setting course toward the remote dive sites ahead. Lunch and dinner are served as the liveaboard motors through the evening, the lights of Kaimana fading behind.

Core Days
The waters between Fakfak and Triton Bay remain among the least visited in Indonesia, and diving here carries a sense of discovery that is hard to find elsewhere. The Neomi liveaboard spends the week exploring this frontier, moving between sites that rarely see more than a handful of divers in a year.
In Teluk Warsi, the diving is defined by soft coral gardens that blanket the reefs in deep reds and purples. The area is known for whale shark sightings near the traditional fishing bagans - stationary lift nets anchored in the bay. These encounters depend on the season and the fishermen's activity, but when the sharks appear, they move slowly through the water, allowing for extended time alongside them. A night dive here reveals a different side of the reef: hunting cuttlefish, sleeping parrotfish in their mucus cocoons, and the slow crawl of lobsters emerging from crevices.
Aiduma Island offers variety in both topography and marine life. At sites like Little Komodo and Saruenus, the reef slopes are studded with sea fans and soft corals. Wobbegong sharks rest on the sand between bommies, their camouflage so effective you might swim past them twice before spotting the outline. Field Station and Small Rock deliver the macro life the region is known for - pygmy seahorses clinging to sea fans, ornate ghost pipefish drifting among crinoids, and the occasional Napoleon wrasse passing through. The topography shifts between gentle slopes and sudden drop-offs, and the guides know where to look for the creatures that hide in plain sight.
As the liveaboard cruises toward Fakfak, dives at Larry's Heaven and Batu Darmai break the crossing. Larry's Heaven lives up to its name: soft corals cascade over the reef, and schools of fusiliers spiral above the plateau. Batu Darmai, a submerged pinnacle, attracts grey reef sharks and barracuda in the blue water beyond the reef edge. In Fakfak itself, sites like Waterfall, Baby Rock, and The Pinnacle offer structures that rise from deeper water, their walls covered in sponges and gorgonian fans. The marine life here is abundant without being crowded - reef fish in numbers you can lose yourself in, and the constant possibility of something larger passing just beyond visual range.
On the final day of diving in Fakfak, Neomi takes a more relaxed pace with 2 dives, allowing time to appreciate the surroundings and prepare for departure.

Day 7
A final breakfast is served as Neomi motors into Fakfak. Disembarkation follows shortly after, with the crew helping you transfer ashore. The trip concludes here, though you may choose to spend time exploring Fakfak itself or continue onward to your next destination.
Note that the itinerary may operate in reverse - your trip confirmation will outline the specific direction of your voyage.

"The ship was nice, cabin was comfortable, dive team was ok. Cabin shower was not very clean, slow drainage, basin moldy. Although only 9 pax with 24 crew, we could hardly see more than a handful of the crew serving us. Asked for jacuzzi to be filled, was told by the captain there was not enough water - they filled just enough to soak my legs. Dive team also not experienced in handling my camera on the speed boat. My wide angle lens was badly scratched and I had to demand a towel to be placed on deck each dive. Cruise director didn't seem comfortable interacting with foreign guests, stuck mostly to the locals. He is also the head of dive team which I believe is a mistake.
Dive The World gave prompt and detailed info for the booking and payment process They provide a last minute standby waitlist for interested guests who may be flexible on cruise but fixed on time.
