Expect great macro diving, with some amazing critters like frogfish and ghost pipefish, zebra crabs, rhinopias, blue ringed octopus, and countless coloured nudibranchs with crazy names that you can normally only find in fish books. The diving in this area is more than about just macro-life though. From shallow reefs to drop-offs and drift dives, grey reef sharks, schools of surgeonfish and snappers, giant trevally, turtles, barracuda, Spanish dancers and nocturnal critters, plus vibrant soft corals and tunicates can be seen throughout. It will be a blast of colours and emotions. At some sites the presence of manta rays and dolphins are almost guaranteed.

Early afternoon we will arrive at the tropical paradise of Nusa Penida for a drift dive across pristine coral. This is a great way to spend the afternoon and get a taste of what’s to come on the rest of the cruise. As the sun sets, take a seat in the top deck open-air lounge area with a cool freshly made drink in hand and enjoy the surroundings before we set sail overnight to the next stop. Dinner will also be served this day.

Misool, in the southern part of Raja Ampat, is a paradise for divers seeking both macro and pelagic encounters. The soft coral gardens at iconic sites like Magic Mountain and Boo Windows, attract schooling fish, reef sharks, and majestic manta rays, while its intricate maze of caves and overhangs shelter wobbegongs and rare critters like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs.
