Mastro Aldo is a European owner-operated liveaboard providing short scuba diving tours in Komodo. At 22 metres, the ironwood-built Mastro Aldo is one of the smaller liveaboards visiting the Komodo National Park. However, what it lacks in size it makes up for in stability. It is one of the few catamarans visiting the 40 plus dive sites in the park and is a great option for the budget-conscious and those short on time.
A maximum of 10 divers are accommodated in Mastro Aldo's 5 double and twin bed cabins. The cabins are tight, however they are comfortable and have an added bonus of a private safe deposit box.The cabins have air-conditioning however at night, only fans are used to cool the cabins. The focus on this liveaboard is on personal service, good food and a great knowledge of the dive sites.
Your tour starts with a complimentary pick up from the Labuan Bajo airport. The liveaboard's western cruise director will welcome you on board and, together with the 13 multi-lingual crew, you will be well looked after. Your 6 night cruise will include an island dragon tour, 2 sunset beach BBQs, 4 meals a day and a minimum of 22 dives, scheduled to visit sites avoiding the day boat crowds. If your Indonesian liveaboard plans do not allow for a full week's diving, then the 3 night option is a great way to get a taste of Komodo National Park, avoid long speedboat rides and go ashore to see the dragons.
