MY Honors Legacy is a quite recent arrival on the Maldives diving scene. Built in 2012, this 33.5m motor yacht runs liveaboard trips around the best dive sites of the Maldives: mostly around the central atolls but also to the northern atolls of the archipelago!
Up to 20 divers can be accommodated on board in 10 cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms and flat screen TVs, on the lower and upper deck. Guests tend to spend their cruise surface time either in the air conditioned saloon/dining area on the main deck or soaking up the rays on the sun deck which comes complete with sun loungers and a Jacuzzi. There is also a nice open-air shaded area towards the stern end of the upper deck.
You can enjoy reading from the library of books and magazines, play chess or use the Wi-fi on your own devices. There is also an onboard spa so you can select a soothing treatment to add to the atmosphere of pampering and relaxation.
As with most Maldives liveaboards, diving is conducted from a dhoni which accompanies the liveaboard during each trip. The dhoni of MY Honors Legacy features plenty of equipment storage spaces, 2 fresh water showers, a toilet, rinse tanks and a camera table. The compressors are housed on the dhoni so noisy tank filling is done far from the quiet of the main boat. 15 litre tanks are also available with advance notice so you can spend longer in the impressive Maldivian waters.
There are 10 cabins in total: 3 Ocean View suites and 7 Superior twin or double cabins. Both suites are on the upper deck while there are 6 Superior cabins on the lower deck and 1 on the middle deck. All cabins have air-conditioning, private ensuite bathrooms, TVs and minibars.
The superior cabins are all 2 share and the suites have 1 double and 1 single bed plus the benefit of large windows with elevated views of the beautiful Maldivian scenery.
All the cabins have:
- Individual control air-conditioning
- Bathroom with toilet and built-in hot water shower cubicle
- Hand basin and towels (no toiletries)
- Windows or portholes
- TV and music system
- Safety box
- Reading lights
- Bedside cabinet, shelves and mirror
