Launched in 2019, The Infinity X liveaboard brings a contemporary standard to diving the central Maldives. At nearly 50 metres in length and with an 11-metre beam, this vessel offers a rare combination of space and stability. Built with a steel hull and holding a Bureau Veritas Passenger Ship classification, it meets stringent international safety standards. For divers, this translates to a smooth, reassuring base from which to explore the atolls, whether crossing channels or resting overnight in a lagoon.

Life aboard balances diving with relaxation. The vessel dedicates generous space to social areas, including 2 bars (one indoors, one on the main deck) and an outdoor Jacuzzi on the flybridge. When the day's dives are complete, guests can make use of amenities not typically found on a liveaboard: a KTV room fitted with a BOSE stereo system and HD screens, or the indoor lounge on the pilot deck for movies. The dive deck itself is kept clear of clutter because all compressors and gear storage are housed on the accompanying dhoni, ensuring the mothership remains a tranquil retreat.

Safety is a defining feature of The Infinity X liveaboard. Its A60 fire rating and watertight superstructure design contribute to its reputation as one of the most secure vessels operating in Maldivian waters. The international crew numbers 30 in total, with 6 dedicated dive professionals and 24 service and navigation staff. This experienced team focuses on smooth operations, from the moment guests are met at the airport to the final dive of the cruise. Their local knowledge helps guide divers to sites suited to conditions and group experience levels.

The purpose-built dive dhoni is a significant asset. Larger than most, it carries all dive equipment and features its own bathroom and fresh water shower. This setup keeps the main liveaboard boat free of wet gear and compressors, while allowing the dive team to prepare everything in advance. Divers simply gear up on the dhoni, step to the site, and return to a clean, organised space. It is a system that prioritises efficiency and comfort, leaving more time to focus on the diving itself.

Infinity X accommodation options, all with private guest bathrooms, range from the 140 sqm grand dining hall, where buffets blend Western and Chinese dishes, to cabins fitted with independent air-conditioning, HD LED TVs, and LAN entertainment systems. Guests can choose from VIP and Deluxe Oceanview Suites on the upper decks or the well-appointed Superior Cabins on the lower deck. A barbecue dinner on a sandbank is a regular feature of longer cruises, offering a simple, memorable evening under the Indian Ocean sky.

For the certified diver seeking a Maldives liveaboard that combines modern amenities with serious operational experience, The Infinity X delivers a well-rounded package. It suits those who appreciate space after a day of diving, the reassurance of high safety classifications, and the convenience of a dedicated dive tender. Whether the goal is to explore North Male's famous channels or venture further to less-visited atolls, this vessel provides a capable and comfortable base.

Infinity X has a wide range of guest accommodations, all with private bathrooms. Located at the front end of the main deck are the 3 VIP Oceanview Suites. These are the most luxurious suites on the yacht; they are spacious, well designed and fitted with a king-size-bed. They have large ocean viewing windows whilst providing high privacy for the guests who choose to stay in them.
On the upper deck are the 6 Deluxe Oceanview Suites. 2 are double-bed and the rest are twin-bed, each of which has a breath taking view of the ocean thanks to the huge window placed right beside the bed. These suites are perfect for couples or sharing with friends or buddies.
On the lower deck are 6 Deluxe Suites. 4 are equipped with a double and single bed, and 2 have 2 single/twin beds. These are the most spacious on the yacht. Also on the lower deck are the 2 twin bed Superior cabins. These are slightly smaller than the other suites and are the economy choice.

All the cabins have:

  • Individual climate control and air-refresh system
  • Private bathroom with hot water shower
  • Hand basin, toiletries, towels and bathrobes
  • Windows on main and upper decks, portholes on lower deck
  • HD LED TV

On board the Infinity X liveaboard, the days settle into a comfortable and sociable pattern, designed to let you recharge between 4 daily dives. The crew’s aim is straightforward: to have you well-rested, well-fed, and ready for the next opportunity to drop in on a Maldivian reef or channel.

Mornings begin early with a light breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, and pastries, laid out before the first dive, giving you time to wake up with the sun as the Infinity X vessel manoeuvres into position. After the dive, you’ll return to a proper, hot breakfast. The main dining is always a relaxed, buffet-style affair. Given the international makeup of guests and crew, the kitchen prepares a mix of Western, Chinese and other Asian dishes. You might find fried rice or noodles alongside eggs, fresh fruit, and toast.

Lunch and dinner follow the same unpretentious, sociable format. Expect a variety of salads, grilled meats or fish, and vegetable dishes. However, the kitchen also offers something a bit different. On certain evenings, the crew might lay on a traditional Chinese Hot-Pot, a social meal where you cook your own ingredients in a simmering pot of broth at the table. For those with specific plans, it’s also possible to pre-order a special seafood feast to mark a night on board the liveaboard.

In between meals, the indoor saloon and bar area is the hub of the Infinity X liveaboard. It’s where divers gather to log dives, go through photos on the HD TVs, or simply chat about the morning’s sightings over a cold drink. When you need to escape the tropical sun, the air-conditioned cabins offer a cool, quiet retreat. For those who prefer to stay above deck, the sun deck with its inviting outdoor Jacuzzi is the place to stretch out with a book or watch the islands slip by on the horizon.

Between dives, tanks are switched, and there's always drinking water and often a light snack available as you de-kit and discuss the plan for the next site. Evenings are yours. After dinner, you might find a small group on the stern under the stars, or someone queuing up a film in the lounge. Some nights, there’s karaoke; other nights, it’s just the quiet hum of the liveaboard boat and the promise of another day’s diving to come.
