Once on board the MV Odyssey, the crew and tour leader will welcome you, show you to your cabin, and provide a comprehensive safety briefing and overview of your week's adventures. Afterward, enjoy a delicious dinner in the air-conditioned saloon. Your diving adventure officially begins tomorrow!
Days 2-7
The renowned Brother Islands are two submerged peaks that attract abundant marine life, providing spectacular drift dives with diverse pelagic encounters. Their walls are richly covered in sponges, soft and black corals, and gorgonian seafans, creating a stunning display of color. Notable sightings include hammerheads, grey reef sharks, and silvertips, along with tuna, trevallies, and snapper. Divers can also explore the wrecks of the Aida II, an Egyptian supply vessel, and the Numidia, a cargo ship, both found near Big Brother Island and beautifully covered in corals.
Daedalus Reef is home to large schools of surgeonfish, fusiliers, trevallies, and various colorful reef fish. It's a prime location to spot hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, and thresher sharks, as well as manta rays, particularly in summer.
Adding to these incredible sites, Elphinstone Reef is also a standout. This legendary offshore reef is famous for its thrilling drift dives, dramatic walls, and the frequent presence of oceanic whitetip sharks and hammerheads, especially during certain seasons.

After enjoying a final breakfast and bidding farewell to the crew, your check-out will commence. You'll then be transferred to either the airport or your local hotel.

In the deep south of Egypt you will have the chance to dive St. John’s Reefs, the healthiest and most colourful in the Red Sea, with their fantastic drop offs, pinnacles, canyons, caves and tunnels, and amazing hard-corals. There is a lot of marine life too, such as barracuda, different types of reef shark, sometimes even turtles, Napoleon wrasse, dolphins, dugongs and mantas.

You will dive at some very special and world famous reefs and wrecks. Ras Mohamed is one of the best kept national parks in Egypt. Its waters are rich in nutrients, attracting pelagics, and in the summer months even schools of scalloped hammerheads might visit. The most famous wreck in the Red Sea, the SS Thistlegorm, will leave you in awe: it was sunk in 1941 after being bombed by the German Luftwaffe and lies upright on the sea-bottom at 32m. With its historical cargo of World War II machinery and equipment, all neatly stowed in its open holds, the wreck of the Thistlegorm would be a highlight of diving anywhere in the world. The Rosalie Moeller, carrying a cargo of coal, suffered the same fate just 2 days later. The north side of Abu Nuhas features 4 wrecks on a steep sloping reef layered with table corals. The wrecks here - the Giannis D, the Carnatic, the Chrisoula K and the Kimon M – are an attraction point for divers from all around the world, as they are now encrusted with beautiful corals that attract lots of reef fish. Inside the wrecks expect to find thousands of glassfish.
The Straits of Tiran are one of the most famous diving areas in the Red Sea. The strong current brings plenty of nutrients and schooling fish to the reef, tempting pelagic fish in from the open water. Large schools of barracuda and jacks are common here, as are larger predators including several species of shark.

Bucket list encounters include hammerheads, grey reef sharks, silvertips, whitetip reef sharks, thresher sharks and manta rays, especially during the summer months. Big tuna, schools of trevallies and snapper cruise by in the blue. You may also dive on the wreck Aida II, an Egyptian supply vessel, and the Numidia, a cargo ship that lies in the shallows of Big Brother Island. They are covered in soft and hard corals and are unforgettable.

Dive spectacular coral formations in the St. John's reef complex, including the famous 'Umm Aruk' with its stunning overhangs. Explore dramatic drop-offs plunging to 60m+ with excellent visibility, and navigate through swim-throughs and canyons adorned with soft corals. Regular sightings of reef sharks and schools of barracuda. Night dives often witness sleeping turtles.
Abu Fendera sports healthy hard coral gardens with exceptional biodiversity Sand stunning topography featuring caves, arches and dramatic pinnacles. Witness bumphead parrotfish (in groups of 30+ individuals) feeding on the reef and cleaning stations frequented by Napoleon wrasse and reef sharks.

Diving in the Red Sea typically involves 3-4 dives per day, offering plenty of underwater exploration while maintaining a comfortable pace. Your day begins with an early morning dive at 7 am, followed by breakfast at 8 am. The second dive takes place at 10 am, after which you'll enjoy a well-earned lunch at noon. The afternoon dive at 2 pm allows you to discover more stunning reefs or wrecks, with a snack break at 4 pm. Once during the trip, you'll experience a night dive at 7 pm, followed by dinner at 8 pm, with time to relax and share stories with fellow divers. On the final day, the schedule is slightly lighter with just 2 dives before the boat returns to port, ensuring you have ample time to prepare for departure.
