Day 1
The MY Excellence uses 2 departure ports: Hurghada and Port Ghalib. In either scenario, embarkation may take place any time on the first day late afternoon onwards. for itineraries departing from Hurghada you will be met on arrival at Hurghada airport, be given assistance with visa on arrival procedures, and then transferred by air-conditioned minivan to Hurghada. The transfer takes around 20 minutes. For itineraries departing from Port Ghalib you may fly into either Hurghada or Marsa Alam. The transfer to Port Ghalib from Hurghada airport takes 3 hours. Upon embarkation you will be welcomed on board and given a boat and cruise briefing. After being assigned, and settling into, your cabin you can get to know your fellow divers over the first night’s dinner. The yacht departs port on the morning of day 2.
Days 2-7
Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone are a must for all experienced divers. You will surely have fun while diving drop-offs, wrecks, and huge gorgonians and colourful soft corals that are home to octopus, lionfish, nudibranchs, frogfish, large schools of fish: an underwater photographer's dream! Bucket list encounters include hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, whale sharks, thresher sharks and manta rays. Lots of curious turtles, Napoleon wrasse and whitetip reef sharks will be common encounters on several occasions.
4 dives a day will be the norm on most days, except on the day before disembarkation that will have only 2 or 3 scheduled dives before returning to Hurghada.
The day starts with a light breakfast of hot drinks and cookies, followed by a real breakfast in between the 2 morning dives: omelette, chicken and beef sausages, sliced cheese, scrambled eggs, toast, spreads, crepes, hot coffee and tea.

Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone is a popular route for experienced Red Sea divers, especially photographers and lovers of sharks. Photographers will appreciate the colourful fans and corals on the reefs and drop-offs. Shark lovers will appreciate threshers, oceanic whitetips, hammerheads and rare whale sharks, as well as manta rays.
This route also includes St John’s Reefs, one of the most famous areas in the deep south and the healthiest reefs in Egypt. Larger creatures sighted here include silvertip sharks, grey reef sharks, whitetips, turtles, Napoleon wrasse and mantas. If you are in luck you might even run into a dugong or 2. Topographical variations include tunnels and swimthroughs, pinnacles and drop-offs, plus shallow hard coral gardens.

Zabargad Island is a popular diving region, distinguished by the variety of dive sites and a 70 metre-long wreck. Rocky Island is a site that can get the adrenaline going. When its currents are in full flow. Thanks to its exposed location and small circumference, it is a very lively reef. Silvertip sharks and grey reef sharks are often present in the blue and if you are in luck there may also be mantas and dolphins.

This area promises some wonderful diving and photographic opportunities on what are some of the most pristine reefs in the Red Sea. Aficionados of the southern sites rave about Elphinstone’s steep walls and current-swept rocky points. Meaty pelagics are drawn to the smaller fish that gather here to feed on the nutrient-rich water flow. These include hammerheads and oceanic whitetips.

This Red Sea diving tour visits St. John's Reefs, where the dive sites are very close to each other so it is easy to cruise from one to the next. You will surely have fun while diving drop-offs, pinnacles, tunnels and amazing hard-coral reefs, huge gorgonians and colourful soft corals that are home for rays, sharks, octopus, lionfish, nudibranchs, frogfish, large schools of fish: an underwater photographer’s dream! Lots of curious turtles, Napoleon wrasse and whitetip reef sharks will be common encounters, while dugongs are more difficult creatures to find. Mantas, grey reef and silvertip sharks can often be seen in the blue.
Zabargad Island is a site with various dives sites dotted around it including a wreck of 70 metres in length. Rocky Island is a site that often goes hand in hand with Zabargad. It is an island with a very small circumference and with a very exposed location. The currents that move around the island make it a lively reef with headlining creatures like grey reef sharks, silvertips and maybe even manta rays and dolphins.

Also in the blue you should look out for manta rays, turtles and Napoleon wrasses. Smaller creatures around the hard corals are nudibranchs, lionfish and frogfish.
