Accommodation aboard the Ghazala Adventure liveaboard comprises 14 cabins, including 3 suites, arranged across the lower and upper decks. Lower deck cabins include 5 twin cabins and 1 double suite, while the upper deck offers 4 twin cabins and 2 twin or double suites. There are also 2 single occupancy suites for solo travellers. Every cabin has air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, and is supplied with towels and dressing gowns. Core Days
This route takes the Ghazala Adventure to 3 of the Red Sea's most celebrated offshore destinations: the Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef and Elphinstone Reef. Together, these remote marine parks offer some of the most reliable encounters with large pelagic species in the region.
The Brother Islands, 2 exposed promontories approximately 60 kilometres off the Egyptian coast, are a magnet for marine life. Big Brother and Little Brother feature sheer walls adorned with a vibrant tapestry of soft corals, anemones and brightly coloured sponges. Shark encounters are a highlight here, with scalloped hammerheads, silvertips, oceanic whitetips and grey reef sharks regularly sighted. The wreck of the Numidia, a 150-metre cargo ship that sank in 1901, lies in shallow water at Big Brother and is encrusted with a spectacular growth of hard and soft corals and gorgonian fans. The Aida, an Egyptian supply and troop ship that struck the reef in 1957 while attempting to deliver supplies to the lighthouse, now stands almost vertical on the sloping reef edge, colonised by a forest of soft corals and gorgonians.
Daedalus Reef, a remote offshore pinnacle accessible only by liveaboard, offers one of the Red Sea's most thrilling dive experiences. Its isolation and protected status have preserved its pristine condition. The site is world-famous for its dramatic encounters with large pelagic life, especially schooling scalloped hammerheads and curious oceanic whitetip sharks. The reef's steep walls and southern plateau are covered in vibrant vegetation, with turtles and schooling fish frequenting the area. Thresher sharks are also known to patrol the plateau.
Elphinstone Reef, located near Marsa Alam, is a legendary finger-like rock formation with dramatic vertical walls. These sheer drop-offs are spectacularly adorned with a dense carpet of vibrant purple and pink soft corals. Diving here is defined by 2 plateaus: a deep northern point where hammerheads can be spotted, and the famous southern plateau , one of the Red Sea's most reliable locations for encounters with oceanic whitetip sharks. The Ghazala Adventure navigates to the SS Thistlegorm, a 128-metre British merchant vessel sunk by German bombers in 1941 while carrying supplies to Allied forces. Resting upright at 32 metres, her holds still contain wartime vehicles, motorcycles and railway wagons. The wreck is now a thriving artificial reef, attracting schools of batfish, snapper and barracuda, while crocodilefish and moray eels camouflage themselves among the superstructure. The Rosalie Moeller, often considered the Thistlegorm's sister wreck, lies deeper at 50 metres and offers a more atmospheric dive. She is dived far less frequently, which has preserved her masts, bridge and propeller intact, her holds still filled with coal. Dense congregations of glassfish fill her structures, hunted by lionfish and pelagic fish such as jacks and tuna.
The Abu Nuhas reef system contributes 4 additional wrecks, each with its own character. The Giannis D is one of the most popular, with its upright stern offering fascinating penetration through the engine room, swarming with schools of glassfish. The Carnatic, an 1860s steamship, has disintegrated into a skeletal framework draped in a spectacular cascade of hard and soft corals, making it feel like an underwater art gallery. The Chrisoula K and Kimon M complete the collection, their encrusted hulls providing shelter for groupers, lionfish and batfish.
Ras Mohamed National Park, at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, delivers some of the region's most dramatic reef diving. The Abu Nuhas reef adds 4 more wrecks, the Giannis D, Carnatic, Kimon M and Chrisoula K, each encrusted with corals and inhabited by glassfish, groupers, lionfish and moray eels. The Chrisoula K is particularly accessible, with its bow broken up from hitting the reef and its mid-section and stern largely intact. The Ulysses and Gubal Barge offer additional wreck and macro opportunities.

The wreck of the Numidia, a 150-metre cargo ship that sank in 1901, lies on the northern reef of Big Brother between 5 and 80 metres, now completely covered with hard and soft corals and gorgonians. The Aida, an 82-metre steam ship that sank in 1957, stands almost vertically on the sloping reef edge, with its highest point at 25 metres and propeller at 57 metres, a uniquely dramatic dive.
