Among the newest and most substantial vessels in the Egyptian Red Sea, the sheer physical presence of the Seawolf Steel liveaboard immediately signals a serious commitment to deep-water diving. At 48 metres in length and 9.5 metres wide, this modern yacht, launched in 2022, is one of the region's few liveaboards built with a steel hull. This construction choice is a significant advantage, providing superior stability for guests and a widely recognised enhancement to safety records when operating far offshore.

This substantial scale allows for the ambitious range of routes offered. The Seawolf Steel primarily focuses its operations on the far-flung diving safaris of the southern Red Sea, an area famed for its pristine offshore reefs, high-current pinnacles, and greater chance of encountering pelagic species. For scuba divers seeking maximum variety, the vessel also includes occasional tours around the iconic wrecks and marine life of the Sinai Peninsula, guaranteeing an expansive exploration of Egyptian diving history and biology.

Despite its capacity to host up to 30 divers, the Seawolf Steel design maintains an atmosphere of spaciousness and passenger comfort. In an unusual layout for a yacht of this size, the primary indoor social spaces, including the large lounge and dedicated dining area, are thoughtfully positioned on the upper deck. These areas boast impressive panoramic windows, providing spectacular, ever-changing views of the Red Sea during mealtimes and relaxation periods.

Guest accommodation reflects the vessel's modern, premium standards, consisting of 12 cabins and 3 spacious suites. Each private stateroom is fully equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, a mini bar, and a private bathroom. A key benefit of the Seawolf Steel is the distribution of cabins across the main and upper decks, with several rooms benefiting from large sea-view windows, offering a constant connection to the ocean environment.

The Seawolf Steel's dedication to diver support is apparent across the vessel's infrastructure. The dive deck is notably large, ensuring ample space and making kitting up for daily dives almost effortless. For extended time underwater, every EANx-certified diver is provided with complimentary use of enriched air nitrox. Furthermore, safety is taken seriously, with the inclusion of an ENOS satellite location and rescue system for every guest. Diving operations are supported by 2 large motorised tenders, each with a dedicated dive guide for focused, personal service during site drop-offs and recoveries.

From the provision of a complimentary internet service and abundant battery charging points for underwater photographers, to the multiple sunbathing and relaxation areas, the Seawolf Steel liveaboard is a completely equipped diving platform. It represents a premium, secure, and experience-led option. For scuba divers focused on accessing the deepest and most spectacular reefs of the Red Sea, choosing the Seawolf Steel liveaboard provides the ultimate confidence of a modern, expertly operated vessel.

A maximum of 28 scuba divers are accommodated onboard the Seawolf Steel regular trips thanks to its 12 cabins and 3 suites, all of which have their own private bathrooms. The 3 suites are located on the main deck and have king-size double beds. 8 of the cabins are on the lower deck, 2 on the upper deck, and 2 on the flybridge. Each of the cabins has twin beds.

All the liveaboard cabins have:

  • Individual control air-conditioning
  • En-suite bathroom with hot water shower, shower gel and hand basin

Day 1
Your diving week begins with late afternoon embarkation at Port Ghalib (or Hurghada). Once welcomed aboard the Seawolf Steel liveaboard, you will receive a safety briefing, settle into your cabin, and enjoy dinner with your fellow divers before the vessel departs in the early hours of the following morning.

Core Days
This Seawolf itinerary encompasses 3 of the Red Sea's most famous and isolated dive locations, all known for spectacular coral life and thrilling open-ocean encounters. We begin at the renowned Daedalus Reef, a massive, current-swept pinnacle rising from the depths. Its vertical walls are essential hunting grounds for large pelagics, providing excellent opportunities to spot schooling scalloped hammerhead sharks, thresher sharks, and even the majestic whale shark, particularly during seasonal movements. The reef is also decorated with beautiful hard coral formations and giant gorgonian sea fans.
The adventure continues at the Brother Islands, Big Brother and Little Brother. These 2 oceanic mounts are draped in vibrant soft corals and black corals, creating breathtaking underwater scenery. The deep, exposed waters here attract oceanic whitetip sharks and grey reef sharks. Big Brother is also the site of some fascinating wrecks, the Numidia and the Aida II, which are now completely fused into the living reef ecosystem.
Finally, we explore Elphinstone Reef, a legendary site famous for its steep drop-offs and high probability of spotting open-ocean predators. While the main focus is offshore, coastal dive sites like Abu Dabbab and Shaab Shona are also visited, offering calmer, shallower conditions ideal for encountering dugongs and large green turtles and exploring rich, photogenic coral gardens teeming with reef fish and macro subjects. This comprehensive south route ensures non-stop action on the Seawolf Steel liveaboard.

Core Days
This Red Sea dive safari is dedicated to the exposed, oceanic islands far from the coastline, renowned for consistent big-animal action. The journey begins at Daedalus Reef, a massive, isolated pinnacle whose vertical walls drop hundreds of metres into the deep blue. The reef structure itself is draped in pristine, colourful hard and soft corals.
Further south, you will explore the unique tandem of Rocky Island and Zabargad Island. Rocky Island is a small, exposed reef often subject to powerful currents, which creates a highly dynamic environment. Here, you should watch the blue for patrolling silvertip sharks and grey reef sharks, as well as dolphins. Zabargad Island offers varied diving, including a 70-metre-long historical wreck that has been transformed into a vibrant artificial reef, teeming with soldierfish, snapper, and various species of wrasse.
The itinerary is rounded out with dives in the sprawling Fury Shoals and adjacent coastal sites. Locations like Shaab Claudio (famous for its swim-throughs and massive porites corals), Sha'ab Maksour (known for its deep walls), and the shallow, protective reefs of Abu Dabbab allow for encounters with green sea turtles and the elusive dugong, along with unique macro life like thorny seahorses and ornate ghost pipefish. Nearby, the Dunraven wreck near Sha'ab Mahmoud provides another classic Red Sea wreck dive.
We also explore some of the region's best natural reefs, providing a contrast to the wreck sites. Ras Mohamed National Park is renowned for its spectacular walls, which are rich in soft corals and massive gorgonian sea fans. Further south, you may visit the Salem Express wreck in the Safaga area or dive at Panorama Reef and Ras Abu Soma, depending on the itinerary's departure port.
The route then travels south to the isolated Brother Islands, Big Brother and Little Brother. These oceanic mounts are famous for spectacular drift dives along vertical walls, which are draped in black corals, large gorgonian fans, and vibrant soft corals.
