Part of the King Snefro Fleet of liveaboards, Snefro Target operates luxury dive cruises to some of the best sites in the Sinai Peninsula, such as Ras Mohamed, the world famous SS Thistlegorm wreck, as well as the Straits of Tiran.
A high performance option for diving the Sinai Peninsula’s challenging wrecks and reefs is the 37-metre long Snefro Target liveaboard. Operating as one of the largest vessels in the established King Snefro Fleet, this custom-built yacht has a substantial 9-metre width, ensuring exceptional stability during the necessary open-sea crossings. The vessel's operational quality is assured by its ISO certification, confirming that certified divers can place confidence in the standards maintained by the operator.
The diving tours offered by the Snefro Target are aimed at the northern Red Sea’s most significant dive sites. The standard 7-night 'Sinai Wrecks and Reefs' safari departs from Sharm El Sheikh and focuses on high-profile locations. This includes navigating the deep currents of the Straits of Tiran, where the reefs often host large pelagic species, and exploring the protected, vibrant ecosystems of Ras Mohamed’s Shark and Yolanda reefs. Wreck diving is a cornerstone of the experience. The tour regularly includes the famous SS Thistlegorm, a vital historical dive, along with the cluster of ancient shipwrecks at Abu Nuhas. The Snefro Target is optimally designed to manage the logistical requirements of these diverse and sometimes demanding dive environments.
Onboard technical support is tailored for divers seeking to maximise their time underwater. The wide dive deck is spacious and organised, providing ample room for kitting up. The Snefro Target facility is suited for the experienced guest, with complimentary nitrox available to all certified divers, a key benefit for extending bottom times at depth.
Passenger accommodation is well-appointed, catering for up to 20 guests across 9 cabins spread over 3 decks. The choices include 6 twin cabins on the lower deck, 2 double cabins on the upper deck with superior window views, and a large Master Suite on the main deck. All staterooms feature air-conditioning and private en-suite facilities, allowing guests to retreat and refresh in privacy.
Guests will find multiple areas for relaxation and socialising. The Snefro Target features comfortable indoor lounges and expansive outdoor areas for sunbathing or resting in the shade between dives. With its operational pedigree, large size, and diving tour focused squarely on the Red Sea's northern highlights, the Snefro Target liveaboard is a solid and trustworthy choice for certified divers seeking the classic Egyptian diving adventure.
The yacht is 37 metres long and, just like its sistership Snefro Love, was built in Rashid in the Nile Delta. It is Green Fins and ISO-certified and was recognised by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism with an Award of Excellence in recognition for its 'outstanding role in promoting Tourism and Sustainable Development in Egypt'. It can accommodate 20 guests in twin or double bed air-conditioned cabins, each with ensuite private bathrooms. The upper deck double bed cabins have wide windows and they and the Master Suite have minibars.
The air-conditioned saloon on the main deck has entertainment facilities such as TV and music systems. You can relax in the comfy sofas and choose a film from the onboard movie library. The saloon also serves as the dining area where guests are served delicious, mouth-watering Egyptian and Western style buffet-style meals. Vegetarians can be catered for. Snacks, hot and cold drinks are available all the day. Elsewhere on Snefro Target there are 3 partially-shaded areas where guests can soak up some Egyptian sunshine or simply relax in the open air, taking in the Red Sea landscapes.
The dive deck and platform are spacious and equipped with rinse tanks, bathrooms and fresh-water showers for rinsing off after a dive. There are 2 air compressors and the nitrox compressor housed below deck to reduce noise pollution. Nitrox is provided free of charge for EANx certified divers, so that they can linger longer at these incredible Red Sea dive spots. Safety equipment onboard includes life rafts, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, life jackets, a first aid kit, and emergency breathing oxygen. Navigational equipment includes VHF radio, GPS, a chart plotter, echo sounder, radar, and an EPRIB. If you are looking for great value for money and a touch of style on a Sinai liveaboard cruise, you might just hit the bullseye with the Snefro Target.

Core Days
This classic 'Sinai Classic' safari, expertly run by the Snefro Target, is designed to maximise your time at the most iconic sites of the Sinai Peninsula.
We first explore the globally famous SS Thistlegorm Wreck, a pristine World War II military transport where you can explore the holds still packed with preserved cargo of vehicles and ammunition. Nearby historical dive sites like the Dunraven wreck near Shaab Mahmoud are also explored, offering beautifully coral-encrusted relics.
The safari then moves to the exposed pinnacles of the Straits of Tiran. Jackson, Thomas, Woodhouse, and Gordon Reef rise dramatically from the seabed. The powerful, nutrient-rich currents that sweep past them attract massive schools of snapper, barracuda, and large tuna, offering dynamic drift dives and high chances of encountering pelagic sharks. The walls of these reefs are spectacularly covered in immense gorgonian sea fans and brightly coloured soft corals.
A major focus of the trip is the Ras Mohamed National Park, renowned for its sheer walls and high-octane drift dives. Sites like Shark & Yolanda Reef and Shark Observatory feature breathtaking topography and are covered in huge gorgonian sea fans and brightly coloured soft corals. Shallower areas like Jackfish Alley and Temple provide excellent photographic opportunities for macro life, including crocodilefish and lionfish, while Ras Ghazlani and Marsa Bareika offer equally vibrant wall dives. The Snefro Target liveaboard ensures access to these top northern Red Sea locations.
Day 8
You will wake up at the port of El Wataneya and enjoy a final breakfast before disembarking from the Snefro Target.

A trip on the Snefro Target liveaboard is defined to support the underwater exploration of the Red Sea. The entire operation centres on maximising a diver’s time below the surface, ensuring you are always thoroughly rested and well-nourished via a full board service of 3 substantial meals and supplementary snacks.
The standard diving day follows a clear structure, typically involving a cycle of three to four immersions, with the night dive concluding the activities before dinner. The routine begins with a small pre-breakfast, where you can find hot drinks and toast before the initial descent. A full, hot breakfast is then served after the first plunge, providing necessary calories for the second dive. This satisfying pattern of 'dive then dine' ensures your energy is consistently maintained.
Lunch with the Snefro Target is presented as a generous buffet after the second dive of the morning, offered in the cool, air-conditioned saloon. The spread features a selection of satisfying international and local cuisine designed to meet a demanding appetite. Following the afternoon dive, a welcome snack of cakes, fruit, or biscuits is laid out, acting as a restorative break before the final evening activities commence.
The culinary high point of each day is dinner, which is always served buffet style once the night dive is safely completed. This final meal is a true reward, featuring a widespread mix of international cooking with regional specialtiies, guaranteeing plenty of choice and a chance to reflect on the day’s discoveries. For those times between scheduled meals, the Snefro Target keeps you continuously provisioned with biscuits, candy bars, and fresh fruit.
Complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee, and drinking water are always available to maintain hydration throughout the day. Guests may purchase espresso and local alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the evening downtime. The crew is highly experienced in accommodating special dietary requirements, striving to cater for vegan, Halal, or vegetarian diets; however, advance notification is essential. Guests with food allergies must understand that specialised products, such as gluten-free or lactose-free goods, are difficult to source locally.
