Intimate & Bespoke Experience: Hosting a maximum of 16 guests, the vessel offers a personalized, boutique service. The team collaborates with you to craft custom routes, moving away from standard itineraries to match your group's wishes and experience. Modern Comfort After Extensive Renovation: Fresh from a comprehensive 2026 renovation, the boat blends rugged exploration capability with contemporary comfort. It features spacious sundecks, a dedicated dive deck, and amenities like free WiFi and Nitrox. Expert-Led Exploration & Flexibility: Benefit from a crew with decades of combined Red Sea experience. The "Amelie Advantage" allows you to combine any two 4-day trips back-to-back for a seamless, week-long adventure at special rates. The vessel was originally launched in 1999 and reimagined for 2026. Engineered for small-group diving, the Amelie liveaboard is a traditional wooden vessel that carries a maximum of just 12 guests, guaranteeing a highly personalised experience where the quality of your time underwater is the primary focus. It explores the Red Sea's 'North & Wrecks' region, home to many historic wrecks, while deliberately avoiding the busy Hurghada dive boat traffic.

The operator’s foundation is built on deep technical knowledge and decades of professional experience. Instead of following the mainstream timetable, the M/Y Amelie crew employs an anti-cyclical schedule, allowing them to access prime sites when other boats are least present. This expert approach, including detailed knowledge of bathymetric structures and local sea conditions, supports fully customised dive plans tailored to the group's skill levels, ensuring access to low-frequented dive spots.

The dive deck is configured to fully support the modern underwater enthusiast, particularly photographers. The Amelie liveaboard provides a dedicated camera station and rinse tank, along with multiple high-capacity charging stations. Critically, nitrox is supplied, which is essential for safely maximising bottom times on repeated wreck and reef exposures. Post-dive comfort is assured with 2 fresh water deck showers. Furthermore, safety remains paramount, requiring mandatory use of dive computers and surface marker devices (SMDs).

When relaxing between dives, Amelie fosters a warm, communal atmosphere. Private time is spent in one of the 6 air-conditioned, twin-share cabins, all positioned on the quiet lower deck. The heart of social interaction is the indoor saloon and dining area on the main deck - a comfortable setting to read, enjoy the free internet, enjoy music, or exchange stories with your small group of fellow divers.

The dining experience aboard the Amelie features delicious buffet-style meals that highlight authentic Egyptian cuisine; complimentary soft drinks are included with your food. Outdoors, the vessel provides extensive sunning and lounging space. The entire top deck is an open-air sundeck, offering both a large, shaded open-air lounge area and 2 separate sunbathing spots equipped with comfortable bean bags and mats.

As one of the most economic Hurghada liveaboards available, the Amelie liveaboard represents exceptional value for experienced divers. The schedule mostly offers shorter 3-night mini-safaris but 6-night diving tours are also available. This combination of highly specialised routes and personal service, along with the option for PADI diver and specialty training, makes booking your Red Sea scuba adventure on the Amelie a confident decision.

There are 6 air-conditioned cabins on board the Amelie, all in the lower deck and all with twin bunk beds and portholes. The cabins share 2 bathrooms with freshwater showers.

All the cabins have:

  • Air-conditioning
  • Towels
  • Portholes

  • European-style 2-pin plugs

The Amelie liveaboard provides divers with a focused itinerary, offering a consistent schedule of diving and catering designed to maximise time in the water while ensuring ample rest.

The diving schedule is structured to provide varied experiences over the course of the cruise. On day 2, guests make 2 dives followed by a night dive. Day 3 sees the greatest activity, with 3 daytime dives and a second night dive. The final day, day 4, features 2 last dives before disembarkation.

Guests of the Amelie can expect to be well-fed throughout the trip, with meals that feature international dishes alongside a selection of Egyptian specialities. 3 main meals are provided daily: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Meals are served buffet-style, allowing guests to choose what they prefer. Dinner is typically served after the night dive and always concludes with a delicious chef-prepared dessert.

In addition to the main meals, afternoon treats are provided. Snacks, including fresh fruit, are available throughout the day. Guests can stay hydrated with complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee, drinking water, and juices, all available all day. The comfortable saloon and dining area is where guests gather for meals.
