Day 1
A staff member will meet you at Port Sudan Airport and transfer you to the port for boarding the Elegante liveaboard . The crew will greet you on board with a welcome drink, show you to your cabin, and provide a detailed boat briefing that will help familiarize you with your new home for next week. Dinner will be served in the saloon and this will be a great opportunity to get to know the other guests on this cruise. The boat will leave port early the next day.
Core Days
More and more divers are discovering a new destination in the Red Sea, an underwater paradise, more wild, more virgin, and totally off the beaten track. An underwater world caught in a time capsule, practically intact, unexplored. Welcome to Sudan! This is the classic and best-known route in Sudan. You will dive the world famous Umbria wreck and renowned reefs like Sanganeb and Shaab Rumi. There we will dives with schools of barracuda, jackfish, tuna, sharks, spectacular coral gardens, and the famous and nostalgic remnants of the Pre-continent II of Jacques Cousteau. You will also visit the Suakin Archipelago and dive on pristine coral reefs with enormous fan corals, a huge amount of marine life, with big game fish, whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, oceanic whitetips, and hammerheads.
All meals are served outside at the table, outside at the stern of the boat where the dining area situated. There is also a smaller dining area inside the saloon in case of rain. The meals consist of breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus there are some snacks and fruit. Drinking water, tea and coffee, soft drinks, and beers are available onboard. The food is typically a combination of Italian, international and local cuisine - rice, pasta, salad, fresh fish, vegetables and meat.
The morning of the final full day will be spent diving until around 1 pm, then the yacht will make its way back to port by early evening.
Day 8
Disembarkation is at 10:30 am, after breakfast. The crew will then transfer you back to the airport.
